I visited HanSang Korean Restaurant when I was at the Grandstand for shopping. I tried the chicken porridge. The grain had boiled till soft and the taste was bland. My porridge went with beef roll. It had made less oily as the porridge water washed away the oil at the same time. I tried the chicken roll. The chicken was chewy and the sauce was sweet. The next grain I tried was the mixed grain, a healthy grain. I mixed with raddish kimichi and with multiple coloured vegetable, Korean salad. The taste was refreshing when I put the dressing on the salad. The meal was light as I consumed the light and healthy meal. continue reading

Turf City now had become a hub for many different restaurants, we walked around and decided to go for a new Korean restaurant named “Han Sang Korean Restaurant & Market” which was located next to Giant Shopping mall (Enter from outside near carpark) having business as both restaurant and a Korean supermarket (Though did not really sell a lot of Korean stuff). This restaurant actually serves buffet or ala-carte dining. There were quite a lot of people dining at this place when we were there and most of them are having buffet style which you can eat all you want from a buffet bar in the middle of the restaurant. We decided to just go for a la carte meal instead after taking a look at the price and the buffet dishes being displayed (Not much choices, high in price so not value for $).In term of staff, I do not think they were very friendly type though I would say they were not rude too. Just normal serving and you must get their attention in order to get what you wanted. We just looked through the menu and chat while waiting for our dishes to be served. One thing to note about these side dishes were that they are only set of serving per table. You need to ask the staff to refill any finished dish so we need to get the staff attention to refill these plates every now and then as 3 of us were eating such a small dish. The Kimichi were very spicy which was not really to my likely while the potato salad seems nicer to eat. Peanuts were too hard and rest nothing much to comment. This set comes with a stone pot rice and so called “Side dish” which were those photos I took above. We order a total of 4 set meals yet just 1 set of side dish. You need to mixed the rice as soon as it was being served as it was super hot and the rice might get burned (Which mine already got some burned at the side) if you were slow. The hot rice was quite nice to eat though the rice itself should be using those cheapo type as they do not taste really nice to eat.Cooking style the same as those saba fish type except this dish was using mackerel as the ingredient. Not bad and it was nicely cooked and prepared. This was a pork meat soup based on kimchi and as I said earlier, the kimchi served here was too spicy for my likely so I did not really drink this soup except for the ingredients inside like mushroom, meat, and beancurd. The bulgogi chicken was not bad in term of taste though I think I was looking for water when I was eating this dish. It seems like they had added some ingredients which cause my throat dry and requesting for water to wash it away (Hope was not MSG). continue reading

Very spacious and clean! But luckily for us , upon after our payment for meal and right before we left there was a power outrage. The staff were attentive and helpful to our requests. We ordered the seafood pancake, bulgogi chicken and rice, kimchi stew, and bibimbap. The pancake was nicely done without having anything too burnt or oily. Calamari was easy to chew. The pork was tender and flavourful. Bibimbap was so colourful I almost didn't want to eat it but had to stir and start my meal anyways because I was too hungry. The smell the taste the sight of it was just so tempting! Kimchi stew was in my mind ever since I started watching Running Man. The ingredients were all fresh and toppoki was sticky (in a good way), paired off well with the soup base and tasted great! The easiest way to get here is by car and there's a whole load of carpark spaces. There's a new Pasar Bella here now and more stuff to browse around ever since they renovated. continue reading

Located at The Grandstand, which was formerly known as Turf City, HanSang is a spacious restaurant with a central kitchen and even a Lotte Mart within its premises. I headed here to grab a takeaway lunch as my workplace was nearby. In the afternoon, the place was quiet but the restaurant looked like it could house about 100 people. I ordered the Jap Chae and it came within 10 minutes. It totally reminded me of the chinese fried tang hoon. The portion was huge and this could easily feed 2. Noodles were tangy but I would have liked more ingredients in the noodles as this only came with shredded eggs, some mushrooms, carrots and spinach. Perhaps they could add some sweet potato sticks. Nevertheless, a very yummy lunch! continue reading

The variety of food offered at the buffet bbq was reasonable. There were some cooked dishes, I recommend Fried Chicken Balls. It was sweet tasting and very nice. For raw food, there was pork belly, pork collar, beef, chicken both spicy and non spicy were available for selection. There were also lots of mushrooms and vegetables for selection. The service was good. My only complain was I felt that all the meat, after bbq, tasted sweet. All tasted the same. That was the only strange and disappointing part. There was ice cream available as well for buffet customers. Though it's not my kind of ice cream. The quality is just not there. continue reading
