Signature Dishes
Carl’s Junior is a well-known chain that offers fast-food burgers and tries hard to differentiate itself from McDonalds. The burgers here are relatively expensive, starting from around 10 plus for each burger. Nevertheless, there is a queue and discounts to be had if you present your Safra card. The drinks (like green tea in this picture) are free flow. As for the Thickburger itself, it was relatively average and probably not worth the 12 dollars for the entire set.

I mentioned in a previous review that Carl's Jr is my favourite fast food outlet in Singapore. Step aside Macdonalds, Carl's Jr is the category of the big boys. With larger portions and thicker-cut fries that the golden arches, Carl's Jr is a place best for the hungry and army boys. Which is also why it is right up my alley. I usually opt for the Famous star cheese burger (which is easily one and a half times the size of a burger from McD) and make it a meal with fries and free flow of drink. This time, they were having a lunchtime promotion for their Famous star with chili cheese sauce so I opted for that while my dining partner had a breaded chicken sandwich. My favourite part of every CJ meal would have to be the thick cut fries. They are deliciously satisfying to eat and seem to be a lot more flavourful than the stringy ones offered at McDs. Not to mention the free salsa bar at CJ means that you can pick and choose which salsa sauce you want with your meal! For drinks, I usually get the homemade tea and this is also a much healthier option because the tea is unsweetened so you can choose how much (or little) sugar you want to add in it. All for only $7.90 and free-flow of drink too! On to the star of the show, sadly this time the burger was a disappointment. While I usually love the famous star with its thick beef patty and generous vegetable fillings, the chili cheese seemed to dominate the taste of the entire burger making everything taste like chili cheese. Which would have been wonderful if I had been a fan of chili cheese, but unfortunately, my tastebuds do not like angmoh chili very well. While it was not spicy, I have to say that it has an acquired taste that some of us may not be used to probably due to the spices they used. Next time, I'll just stick to my usual Famous star minus the chili cheese so that I can enjoy my burger just the way it is. If you're looking for a quick and value-for-money meal, do head down to Carl's Jr to try out their burgers and fries!

Had the famous star burger in Plaza sing's carl's Jr today. The famous star is surprisingly good. The burgers at plaza sing seems to taste better than those at NEX fr some reason. The beef patty is juicy CArl's jr has really lived up to its reputation for being a great calue for its money! There is also free flow of drinks at this outlet which is absent in the NEx outlet that i frequent. One thing i find lacking in this fast food restaurant is that the service is quite slow though- they take quite a long time to prepare your burger

After a month of confinement in army and eating army food... i booked out at my first BMT to know that i spent a lot of money the whole night! It started off with Carls Jr... at Plaza Singapura... I will never EVER forget... i lost 10 kg and i think i put on 2kg that very night... I bought a angus beef bacon cheeseburger... Damnn juicy beef burger... onion ring.... a little ketchup and bbq sauce... and damn this was complete just the starter... the burger is a burger no holds barred large burger and i couldnt say more... i whacked it down in 5 mins... hungry and i was hungrier.... Secondly, i had the chili cheese fries..... ONE LARGE BOX OF GOUT AND DEATH staring at my face... but i conquered it.... chili cheese poured over large fries is just the way to go... When you are bald... hungry and tired... you do one thing... eat chili cheese fries!! Nothing else...The drinks are of free flow but i had water for a healthier option... hahaha the irony but i would say it is a very well $15 spent... The staff from what i know... is very efficient and very friendly... i havent been back in awhile and dont plan to so soon... But this is the one time il never forget what i had...

Whenever my brother visits me in Singapore, he always has one request-- eat at Carl's Jr. So during Christmas, we visited this fastfood restaurant at Plaza Sing. I had the Famous Star with Cheese and upgraded my fries to onion rings. It's been a while since I last ate here, but man, their standards haven't dropped a bit. The burger is still as thick, juicy, and bursting with flavour. The onion rings are crispy with bread crumbs but the insides are really tender. Fair warning though: it is seriously HOT!!! Another thing I like about Carl's is that you have unlimited drinks and salsa! So, for the price you pay for the meals, it's definitely worth it!
