Went to their store to collect 2 x Kueh Lapis, 4 x Chiku chips, 4 x Pineapple Tarts and 4 x Crab slice chips, and was glad that it was worth the money! Collection was effortless and the staff were attentive and friendly enough. Free sampling of all of their other goodies, of which consisted of interesting things like Blueberry and chocolate cookies. The pineapple tart pastry was tasty and buttery, but the pineapple jam fell short, and was dense and overall not rich, fresh or juicy enough. However, still a good buy. The Chiku chips wasn't as tasty as those that can be bought in Johor Bahru, but the Crab slice chips was cripsy and nice. Have not personally tried the Kueh Lapis yet, but my boyfriend who sampled it thought it was good. continue reading

I bought a discount voucher from groupon to try out the egg tarts from Yah Weh Delicacies. The store sell not only egg tarts , but kueh lapis and cookies . They serve different flavour of egg tarts ranging from durian , original , strawberry , chocolate . The egg tarts are different from the one i try from polar cake or other cake shops. I ordered the original egg tart to try out. The egg tart had a thick layer of egg and layers of crust. I liked the egg custard whereby it was very smooth and soft and the crust is crunchy and crispy. continue reading

The assortment of tarts caught my attention and I went forward to have a better look on the flavours. Seems like I would still prefer the original Portuguese egg tarts. The friendly promoter told me it's on promotion and I bought it at $0.95 each.I have heard of this brand but never try it before. The egg custard are well baked with a nice caramelized colour on top. The smooth custard is not too sweet, that's what I like. Crust is flaky with many many crispy layers but it's not buttery. continue reading

FoodSignature pastries from Yahweh Delicacies. Love these pom piahs, they come with fillings of maltose, Yellow Bean, Yam & kaya. At a special offer with 8 pieces for $5.90.Freshly baked with fragrance packed in the transparent box. These pastries were flaky and crispy at the exterior with seeds of sesame clinging onto it. Food items has no pork and no lard. The fillings are tastes a combination of sweet and salty.PriceWorth while to get them off at a discounted price.Recommendation / TipsDue to its flakiness, it is better to have a container below your mouth while you eat. continue reading

Quite difficult to locate the shop early morning with my friend , I bought the e-voucher online at a special price ( pay less than $1.20 ) to try the Chee Cheong Fun Set ( include of Chee Cheong Fun+Yam Cake+BeanCurd Skin w Fish Meat). Quite disappointed with the taste of the chee cheong taste and the portion given quite small. Not enough to fill my stomach or start my day off with this breakfast set. Since I bought the special deal price , consider a good deal I bought. continue reading
