May Day as usual going to the hawker centre near my house eating my favourite food like Chicken Rice and Peanut Ice Kacang. However, was disappointed to find my favourite dessert has ceased operation. It was a blessing in disguiseI found this Hong Kong Xiao Xi Dessert House with this sweet young lady introducing me a few desserts that they specialise on.We start off with the Mango Pomelo Sago and Avocado Volcano... Mango thingy was so great that I think it definitely is better than those big names in the shopping malls, and even better than those I have in Hong Kong (I have just came back from HK for a business trip). Moreover, it is only $3, with a very good serving to be shared among a few of us. We thought the Avocado Volcano was a bit expensive for hawker centre ($3.50), but after tasting it, we agreed that it was thicker and richer than those served at nearby fruit stalls and definitely better and cheaper than those in shopping malls.We bought home a few of their desserts (Lemongrass Jelly with Aloe Vera, Durian Pudding, Hawthorn and Rosselle Jelly with Plum, Osmanthus Jelly with Wolfberries), they are equally good...I will be back to try more... continue reading
