Settled for a quick meal here at the kopitiam and I went straight for the thai food as it's one of my favourite cuisines. basil chicken with rice and tom yum soup combo for $7. If you're craving for thai food and want a variety in a meal, try their boat sets out which come with a small bowl of tom yum soup. The portion is just right for one person even though the bowl may seem small. There's a few mushrooms in it but still worth it as the tom yum soup is surprisingly good - appropriately sour and spicy. The basil chicken was soft and tender and the gravy was flavourful but not salty. It is also served with papaya salad which has a soft texture but not sweet though. The fried egg tastes average and the yolk is overcooked. I'll be back again continue reading

My family did some grocery shopping at Vivo City Giant, before heading to Giant, we had lunch at the Kopitiam. I ordered their Thai Cuisine, they have both Set Meals and ala carte. I ordered their Basil Chicken Set Meal. They served it on a bowl like dish. The portion is indeed a lot more than the ala carte one and you get a small portion of papaya salad and tom yum soup. the tom yum soup is really good, very sour and spicy. There were mushroom and crabstick inside too. The basil chicken was very tasty and goes well with rice. They also topped the rice with a freshly fried fried egg. continue reading

i was walking around vivo city with my girlfriends and we decided to head to kopitiam for dinner as food republic was really crowded. I decided to order from the lotus thai viet. I ordered the basil chicken rice set. It came with a bowl of clear tom yum soup, green papaya salad, rice with fried egg and the main dish, the basil chicken. The basil chicken was a little on the salty side. But eaten with the rice, it is just right. The chicken is minced finely but you can taste the juiciness of it. The clear tom yum soup is a little spicy but it is really good. makes you wanna drink mouth after mouth. I think it is very worth it for so many food. continue reading

We went to Kopitiam for dinner where I had Thai food from Lotus Thai Viet. I ordered the stirred fried basil leaves with chicken. I requested for less spicy but it still tasted very spicy. The minced meat was well stirred fried at the right temperature and sufficient amount of seasoning. It cost $5 for the meal. continue reading

As i was craving for thai food, so i went ahead to try the thai food at the food court as i have never tried before. Ordered the pad thai with prawns which costs $4.50, the chef cooked my order in like a really fast speed. Didnt try the prawn as i didnt want to dirty my hands. But the portion of it was fairly reasonable and they were pretty generous with the amount of bean sprouts given. continue reading
