Decided to chill at a coffee place after dinner to wait for our movie to start. As coffee bean is full of people, we decided to walk over to coffee club. A little bit pricey but at the comfort of lesser crowd. I decided to get a cake for myself and there's quite a few items to choose. Finally settled with the blue berry cheesecake. The cake tasted good, and the texture is very rich with cream cheese. The blue berry puree makes the cake even more flavorful. Didn't know that not only do they have good coffee, coffee club also have such nice cake to enjoy. Will definitely be back to try more of their cakes! continue reading

This new york cheese cake is definitely my ideal choice of dessert whenever I feel like having a slice of cake and a nice cup of coffee. The cake is filled with really nice and fragrant solid cream cheese in it and the sweetness is quite alright. The presentation looks simple and nice as well. Have it with a cup of their freshly brewed coffee will certainly make your tea break a very enjoyable and lovely one. continue reading

I was at Tiong Bahru Plaza and walked into a half filled restaurant during lunch time. It always puzzled me whenever I stepped into Coffee Club to see empty tables during lunch or dinner time. The food dished out at Coffee Club are of good quality and standard. The price is also comparable to other restaurants. Could it be the restaurant name that gives the misconception? Anyway... at least I need not queue whenever I visited Coffee Club.I browsed through the menu and realized they have introduced a few new dishes since my last visit. I settled for the Herb Crumbed fish fillet with Hollandaise and Mexican Quessadilla with Bolognaise. The herb crust over the fish fillet was crispy, giving it a herbal fragrant. The tortillas with its melted mozzarella cheese was a light and enjoyable meal served with chunky tomato salsa on the side and garnish of mesclun salad tossed in coffee vinaigrette. continue reading

The spacious interior of O' Coffee Club gives diners a comfortable feeling when dining. During our last visit, we ordered the Skipper's Delight Penne ($14). The penne is cooked with lobster sauce, hence giving you a strong seafood aroma, the pan-fried fish fillets are topped with lots of herbs such as garlic and rosemary crust. Personally I think the penne could be a bit more saucy, and the taste of the fish fillets just doesn't blend in to the penne taste, it's like two separate dishes being plated together, forcefully. The Piri-piri Chicken ($15.90) tastes pretty alright. The juiciness of the meat is very well-preserved, and well-marinated in the slightly spicy sauce. Quite appetizing. The Country Pie ($10.90) consists of chicken chunks that cooked in creamy sauce. The pie is then covered with mashed potatoes and lots of mozarella cheese, good presentation but tastes just Ok. continue reading

The smoothies here are great as they contain no milk and are supposedly made with all fruit. The ice is not fine enough but it's alright. The drinks are very overpriced at $6.90 ++ per drink. It's only a skinny drink and mostly water from the crushed ice. But otherwise, it's pretty tasty and thirst quenching. Best point is the no milk added. But you can get better "smoothies" like this at QQ fruit blend at hawker centres! Same drink at less than half the cost and no ++! Service is very bad at coffee club. continue reading
