Seah Im Food Centre located opposite Habourfront MRT station and Vivocity is one food centre which I seldom visit. I think this is only the 3rd time in my entire life I have been to this food centre. With no knowledge of what to order, we scouted around to find one with a queue. That was how we decided to order from Shi Ji Noodle Stall 狮记面食摊. This stall sells Prawn Noodle, Duck Noodle, Lor Mee and Thai Original Tom Yam Noodle. Prawn Noodle $3I ordered a bowl of Prawn Noodle $3. Prawn Noodle $3At $3, this bowl of prawn noodle was so value for money! Look at the generous servings of prawns, slices of fish cakes and pork, beansprouts and noodle. Although the prawns were small, they were fresh. The soup was light and tasty. Not too bad a bowl of prawn noodle. Lor Mee $3Lor Mee $3The partner ordered the Lor Mee $3 which came with a generous amount of ingredients including ngor hiong, braised meat, slices of fish cakes, beansprouts, half a braised egg and topped with coriander leaves and garlic. The lor was wonderfully done; smoothly, fragrant, concentrated and not too starchy. Surprisingly good bowl of Lor Mee.Shi Ji Noodle Stall 狮记面食摊 may not serve the best food, but the food was certainly value for money and decent. Worth a try if you are at the hawker centre.http://foodiefc.blogspot.sg/2014/01/shi-ji-noodle-stall-seah-im-food-centre.html continue reading

The FoodI ordered a bowl of prawn mee pok dry served with small prawns, slices of fish cake and and thick slices of pork. While the prawns may be of the smaller variety, they are fresh, firm and tasty. The noodles are also springy and firm and the chilli are also quite special. Even though I ordered lots of chilli, the spiciness does not cover the natural prawn taste and also not overly spicy too. The prawn soup is rich and concentrated with the fried prawn shells submerged into the big pot of soup. The PriceReasonably priced at $3 per bowl for decent amount of ingredients!OverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

Seah Im Food centre used to be one of my favorite hawker centre during my schooling days. There are too many delicious food here and I always cannot decide what to eat. Many years later I decided to re-visit this hawker centre again and I still faced the same problem. After walking 2 rounds I decided to try the prawn noodle from Shi Ji Noodle Stall.Besides selling Prawn Noodle, they also sell Lor Mee, Duck Noodle and Tom Yam Seafood NoodleThey are very generous with the ingredients. The noodle is cooked to the right texture and the prawns used are big and fresh. The chilli portion is huge but it is not very spicy. The soup is tasty. I would definitely come back for more. continue reading

This stall is amongst a few other stalls that still opened in late evening and that made this stall to be my choice when i was there for dinner. The stall is serving Lor Mee, Duck Noodle, Prawn Noodle for selection. As the previous experience was a pleasant one so i decided to go for the $3.00 bowl of Lor Mee this time. The portion was good enough to fill up a hungry stomach. I was left to help myself with the chilli sauce so i added a big spoonful to my Lor Mee but the Auntie added the garlic paste herself. The Lor Mee came with slices of braised meat and fish cake together with ngor hiang, braised egg and some crispy stuffs. The braised sauce was a little diluted as compared to others. Though this might not be the best tasting Lor Mee that i ever tried but definitely good enough to fulfill a craving. continue reading
