Tried this rice with chicken katsu and egg which was on promotion for only $4.80, was in a rush so had to takeaway. It was super delicious! The sweet sauce was indeed a proven genuine invention of the japanese and the rice, although not the original japanese rice used here, is fluffy and soft and it goes really well with the chicken and the eggs. however it got a bit boring and i felt they should add in sesame seed as flavoring because that's what the japanese usually do for their rice bowl the portion is really huge, my friend and i can't finish it so ask for less rice if you're a girl and would like to eat less carbohydrates the service wasn't very good 'cos she wasn't paying attention to what the customers are saying but only wanna collect as much orders and payment as possible, thus i have to repeat twice to her that i'm ordering takeaway and she gave me the look of 'why didn't you tell me earlier' when i actually said to her twice to takeaway. continue reading

Ordered the bento set which comes with fried chicken, Saba fish, miso soup and rice as it was on promotion, only five dollars which I find it relatively cheap. Saba fish tasted fresh and sweet, really yummy and I enjoyed every mouth of it. Fried Chicken was also fresh and crispy. Overall I enjoyed my lunch and I will definitely have the bento set again. continue reading

This is one for the more reliable stalls in the food terrace. The taste is not too bad and it's not too expensive comparatively. Had the char siew ramen but of course it is miles apart from those Japanese restaurant ramen. The egg is simply hard boiled to death here and it's really more like instant ramen. The broth is not one of those boiled for hours - more like boiled for 30 minutes. The char siew is not real Japanese char siew - just the Chinese roasted meat char siew! But it's alright for a quick bite. continue reading

I remembered last year when i first had the ebi fried with chicken karaage bento set,it was at $6.90 and today i'm enjoying at only $5 as it's on promotion and taste has never change as it's not easy to find good ebi fried in foodcourts. The bento set came with 2 pieces of well breaded fresh prawns fried till very crunchy and not at all dry inside or oily. The chicken karaage are also very well marinated and fried to prefection golden brown without dryness or toughness to the meat.Served in the same bento box is hot japanese white rice sprinkled with black sesame and well season cabbages prickles. continue reading
