This is one of the cheaper options in Ion Orchard if you are looking for a filling meal or craving Jap but dont have the budget for restaurant fare. The Bento Set A which includes 2 chicken, 1 pork and 1 chicken ball yakitori stick with pickles and seaweed topped delicious japanese rice is my all time favourite and answer to a satisfying meal. I really like the rice, every grain is so shiny and fragrant that I can eat it on its own with just the seaweed and pickles and the special Tori Q sauce on the rice. You can choose the yakitoris that you like, to go with the rice too, if you do not like the combination of the bento sets. My ultimate favourite is the chicken ball, love the meaty balls with the glazed sauce. The Ion outlet is always busy especially during lunch and dinner peak periods, but the queue moves very fast.

Was walking around Orchard Food Hall and decided to get the Pork and Asparagus stick ($2.20).There is a few variations to this. Instead of Asparagus, one can also find the mushroom. The pork is tender and paired with crunchy asparagus sticks, its quite tasty with different textures.I also like to get the Chicken Kaarage and Chicken balls from the same stall and with rice you can get a complete meal.

What's a nice and cheap alternative for dinner?My answer to this is Tori Q's bento!Me and my friend ordered Set A and B respectively My Set A consists of 2 chicken sticks, 1 pork stick and 1 stick of chicken ball.My friend's Set B consists of 2 grilled chicken sticks, 1 chicken with green pepper and 1 stick of chicken ball.I love my dinner that day!Portion was great, generous serving of the pearl rice and tasty signature Tori Q sauce Not forgetting the "veggies" in the splatters of seaweed flakes on the rice I like the tender chicken and chicken balls, the pork was a tad tough though!Otherwise, the meal's great!This is what i call value for the price paid

Ordered a bento box for $5.40 which consisted of hash brown, pork, chicken and chicken karaage. Queue was rather long during lunch hours and I waited for around 10 minutes and managed to get a seat. The pork and chicken were marinated well and did not taste salty. The chicken kaarage was crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. It was not oily too. I also liked the seaweed toppings that complemented the japanese rice well.
