Previously from the Zion Road hawker centre, the stall is a long-time favourite among the Zion Road residents. The stall was manned by the mother and gradually passed on to the son which is the current owner. I remembered in the older days, when I was young, my mum would bring our own egg for them to fried the carrot cake with, and we only need to pay $1, as the Carrot Cake with Egg is $1.20. Of course, as the days goes by it's now no longer $1/$1.20. It is now $2 but still is considered cheap compared to other carrot cake stalls. I grew up eating this, it reminds me of my childhood and growing up memories in our old estate. I absolutely love the black carrot cake; delicious, traditional and old school taste. Though it is not exactly the best carrot cake in Singapore, it is the best in my heart! continue reading

$3.20Know the boss for more than 20 years! They were initially at Zion road, and moved to here. Their carrot cake is cheap, only $2.. not but abit dry. I prefer the black carrot cake at Beo Crescent food centre (nearby). They are sell bee hoon with a varieties of fried item. I love their tasty bee hoon. The fried item is hot but very oily. Their wu xiang is my favourite! continue reading

Got a plate of carrot cake for $2. The portion was quite big for $2 as compared to the ones I had at bukit Timah market and food centre where portion was little compared to this. There was a bit of sweetness and the carrot cake was not too oily. The cake was also quite soft and went well with the egg. Overall, this is worth a try and it can be treated as a meal too without feeling hungry after. continue reading

Their ngo hiang are from the famous foodstuff industry hock lian huat.Boss and lady boss are both very friendly. Price is reasonable and clearly stated.Guan chang and xia bing are their signature dishes. Guan chang is the only non deep fried food in the stall. Suitable for those people do not like too oily food. The xia bing is very crispy. The prawn cracker is quite tasteless so I will eat it with the pink color sweet sauce mixed with the chili sauce. continue reading
