This is an affordable and yummilious sweet treats on the go.Although tgere isn't any seatings available but the price paid make up for it.Simply heavenly the crispy fried batter on the outside and melted caramelised hot liquid on the inside. On top of that, it is very affordable, just $3.80 for 4 fried mars balls with a scoop of ice cream which u can choose either vanilla or chocolate. In addition, u get to choose whether u want the chocolate syrup or not. The fried mars balls goes really well with the cold ice cream. Do give it a try if you have sweet tooth. continue reading

I was meeting up with friends for lunch at City Hall area, so as I was there early, decided to snack and got myself some beer battered fish for takeaway. The staff was fast (maybe cos the oil was already hot and ready to deep fry) and he didn’t keep me waiting for long. Portion wise, this is crispy , comfort food. As I'm trying to watch what I eat these days, it was a little oily, but what else can you expect from great tasting sinful food? continue reading

I ordered a meal bag of beer battered fish and chips ($5.80/ 130grams). There is also another size available for snack bag ($4.80/ 100grams). There is also a choice of classic sauces : vinegar, tomato, chilli and chicken gravy. The fries is not crispy enough. The fish is in small pieces and very crispy. The amount is big. The downside is the fish is too salty, especially towards the bottom. continue reading

Been a long time since i ate the fried mars bar from chippy so i decided to get it as a small snack together with the cheesy curry chicken. I think the curry chicken was really not worth it as i had very little chicken and the person gave a lot of small crumbs instead. I only ate like a few pieces of the chicken. The fried mars bar was good but very sinful and sweet but it was good to go together with the vanila ice cream. continue reading

Review on CHIPPY British Take Away @ Raffles CityServiceThere was only 1 people ordering when I got there (about 8.30pm). I was craving for some desserts and happened to realized that they were selling Fried Mars Balls (Yum!). There was only one guy to serve the customers. He was quick. After purchasing your food, you can sit at the fountain nearby Suggested daysI went on a monday night & there wasn't much people - who craves for Chippy. Then again, the crowd was like the weekends.Prices $$I will only buy Fried Mars Balls and since the 1st time I bought it till now, it's $3.80 (Price doesn't change! Yay!)There's another one for $5.40 i.e. Indulgence Cup which adds a few more balls. For $3.80, you will get 4-5 balls and a scoop of chocolate/vanilla ice-cream topped with hershey's chocolate syrup (optional). It's very sinful. Crispy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside! If you had chocolate earlier in the day, you might want to share or skip this because you might feel qualmish after eating a few scoops.RatingI would give this 3/5. Once in a while, its okay! Do make sure you have a bottle of water to quench your thirst!Other varietiesFried Beer Battered FishCheese SausageCheesy Curry Chicken continue reading
