Well, i had cravings for mee sua and ordered this pig's kidney and liver mee sua at Bedok Food Centre! It was seriously very salty. But I can't deny the fact that it was well cooked. The mee sua was very soft but not soggy and the pig's liver was just right (no blood on it and it wasn't too hard). The pig's kidney was the best, soft to bite on and was very juicy. They also added tao pok to it which not many stall had it. It costs $4.50 in total and it is also very easy to spot the stall because there was a yummy king poster on it! continue reading

I chanced upon this stall after a full lunch so ended up taking away a tub of the traditional malaysia style Bak Kut Teh for dinner at home. The distinctive difference in between Singapore style Bak Kut Teh and Malaysia style Bak Kut Teh is the color. The soup based for Malaysia style Bak Kut Teh is usually in dark color and the Singapore style is usually in a clearer color. For this particular one, it served along with sliced tau pok and canned mushroom together with pork ribs in the claypot. I travelled to Johor Bahru for foods quite often and tasted their version there, the Bak Kut Teh from this stall is pretty close, it will be better if they serve it along with dried bean curd skin and enokitake mushroom as well, a pretty common combination over there. The pork ribs were rather soft and tender. The soup is flavorful but less peppery. Other dishes are braised pork's knuckle in claypot, pig organ soup, pig's kidney & liver mee sua, kway chap and others. Recommended. continue reading
