it has been a while since I had corn in the cup. I remember the last time I had it was a couple of years back. So when I came across this stall and despite how full I was after dinner, I knew I had to get myself a cup. Their corns are simply juicy and sweet. the lady added the right amount of butter so the cup did not appear too oily. She also seasoned it was salt which makes the corn taste even better. continue reading

after our movie, my girlfriend and I headed over to the food court opposite to hunt for some snacks. As we did not feel like eating a full meal, we settled for jin sha. They sells all kinds of snacks. My girlfriend suggested we take away the corn in cup back to my place to eat. We got ourselves two cups of the steamed corn. It is pretty hard to find such delicious steamed corn around. The corn is very juicy and sweet. The lady added the correct amount of butter so it had this buttery fragrance but was not too oily. The seasoned the corns perfectly with salt, it was not too salty. It was really a nice snack, not too sinful as my girlfriend calls it. continue reading

Decided to try the chicken chop from this stall. Unfortunately, the chicken chop was fried and displayed on the counter for a pretty long time. The nice lady was kind enough to reheat it using the microwave for me though. The chicken wasn't as oily as I expected it to be. There wasn't much excess oil. In fact, the chicken chop for some reason was relatively watery. The chicken is actually rather tasteless. The skin has no taste and all it taste like is chicken. The chicken was moist but it wasn't moist because it had juice. All the moisture were like plain water.Overall, it was very bland. It tasted like its chicken that's fried with nothing but oil and some tasteless flour. In the stall's defence, the lady did ask me if I wanted mayonnaise to go with the chicken chop. I certainly don't like the bland taste but I wouldn't mind having it with rice if I'm looking for a meal that's light on taste. Costed $2.80. continue reading
