Went to T3 for their jumping castle...We need to spend 15sgd for each kids to enter the playground so decided to take our lunch at their food street.Crystal Jade will be one of our choice in T3 as in price and quality of food.We ordered A bowl of Soup Noodle with Pork Ribs and a bowl of dan dan noodle. The standard maintain but I think the portion of the meat reduced...Soup Dumpling are good so we ordered 2 baskets and my son ate 4 dumpling in total.A bowl of sour spicy soup and a plate of snow ball dessert.Only complain was their snowball with bean paste and icy sugar are not as spongy as before.Total we spend S$45 after a 10% discount. The staff are kind enough to help me split the receipt into 2 orders. Very nice of them.Services are good and fast too. continue reading

Sending off Daddy and Mummy for their 2nd honeymoon trip, since we already parked here might as well shop around and have our lunch here. We went to Crystal Jade at Changi Terminal 3. I have always associated Crystal Jade with high quality and standards of food. So wherever I go , whenever I see CJ I will definitely go and check it out and try.We ordered Fried noodles, Shanghai La Mian, Xiao Long Bao, Fried Eggplant with Floss. Fried noodle is abit oily and bland tasting. La Mian is really springy, the sour and spicy mince pork sauces is very appetizing. Xiao Long Bao is hot and juicy. Crispy tempura eggplant topped with generous amount of tasty pork floss YUM. continue reading

For more food reviews, please see http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.comFor restaurants at Terminal 3, this is considered the most "fine-dining" restaurant that's open to the general public. The food's alright, but not great. Compared to our amazing dinner at the Golden Palace branch of their Crystal Jade Group a few nights ago, this was a little disappointing. But just a teensy weensy little bit. We had:1) Minced Pork and Vegetable Wanton La Mian ($8.50) broth was a bit of a MSG bomb, but the wantons were nicely plump and juicy.2) Seafood Thick Soup with Corn ($9) was lusciously thick and starchy with loads of egg drop and sweet corn kernels3) Sweet & Sour Pork ($14) with capsicum. I thought this had a very amateurish, straight-from-ketchup-bottle taste to it. That said, the pork was fresh and tender4) Sauteed French Beans ($12.50) with minced meat and mei cai was another standout dish. Well-fried so it had a smoky char with a good crunch, seasoned simply with salty mei cai and chilli-accented porky mince continue reading

Crystal Jade has always been one of my favourite Chinese restaurants to dine at! I love the unique ambience of this place whereby the restaurant is in an oval like shape. Seating is vast and it overlooks the pretty airport if you decide to sit in the corners Staff are always secluded not too far from customers who are seated while a few staff are located at the entrance to greet you with a warm smile. No reservations are needed during off peak hours. The restaurant does get pretty busy during dinner time hence reservations are a must especially if one is coming in a big group! The staff holds no biasness towards non Chinese customers and are as friendly and accommodating to one's needs. Being a vegetarian, the only dish available to me was the vegetarian noodle soup which I have no quams about as it tastes delicious all the same. However, I wanted to get afew sides this time round to go with my yummy main dish. I asked the staff for recommendations on what could be *turned into a vegetarian dish* and she has happy to be of assistance. First off, she asked if I preffered eggs. After I had declined, she then went on to make some very helpful recommendations.Braised Tofu which technically was a non vegetarian dish was made vegetarian for me. Waiting time was approximately 10-15minutes during which staff brings forward a *pickle snack* or *a variety of nuts* to keep one's mouth occupied accompanied by beverages of your choice. I had opted for Iced Green Tea which was opened by staff at my table and poured into a glass with ice.Our dishes arrived soon enough and to my astonishment the sauce that was accompanied with the braised tofu was absolutely delicious. I was very impressed that they were able to still make the dish taste so good! Other ingredients such as black fungus, carrots, mushrooms, beancurd skin and broccoli was also added. I fell in love immediately and will definitely order this again! 10/10My main course tasted similar to a peanut broth which was very refreshing. The dish included lao mian along with yummy vegetables such as cabbage, black fungus, a few mock meats, beancurd, carrots and mushrooms. The dish was very filling on its own and tasted even better with a little soya sauce. I am a huge fann of soya sauce and sambal chili and restaurants that have good soy sauce would definitely have a plus point! You would be happy to hear that crystal jade did not disappoint me on this aspect. The vegetables were perfect and the noodles were not too soggy. All the dishes were also served to us pipping hot and in record time. 9/10 Last but not least, the sauted spinach with garlic tasted just as incredible. The veggies were cooked to the right amount and tasted very fresh. The stalks were crunchy too! Serving size was reasonable and was fit for sharing between 2-3 individuals. I enjoyed my dining experience at Crystal Jade and I am very pleased with the service, right till the very end when they cleared our plates, re-filled our glass of water and presented us with our bill when we asked for it. Service was great! and I do wish more restaurants had such efficient staff! well done continue reading

One of the main reason why I like Crystal Jade is because of its chilli. I can literally eat the chilli first without anything while waiting for the food to come. Right amount of spiciness, somewhat crispy to me. The salted peanuts which they serve when you enter the restaurant, is very tasty. I ordered steam siew mai and a glass of orange juice, both were good. Thumbs up! continue reading
