Introduction
KOI Cafe was established in 2006 and came to Singapore in 2007. The first outlet in Singapore was in Toa Payoh. Most of the ingredients used in the making of the drinks are imported from Taiwan, in a bid to bring the authentic taste of Taiwanese milk tea to locals. continue reading

Ever since the first Bubble Tea was introduced in Singapore many years ago, all of them taste similar to me. It was only when I first visited Taiwan, tried their bubble tea and thought to myself that THIS IS THE REAL THING. Since then none of the bubble tea sold here match up to the one I had tried in Taiwan except for... KOI! The franchise version of Taiwan's well known 50Lan, KOI is the one and only bubble tea in Singapore which tasted the same from there. I usually will order their Green Milk Tea, aka "Nai Luu(green)", 50% sugar level and no pearls added. I tried their pearls before, it will chewy and sweet and very addictive. But due to wanting to be healthy, I decided to drop the idea of chewing pearls. The milk tea wise is thick, very flavorful with the tea fragrance and the milk addition is just nice too. 50% sugar level is not too sweet or bland. The queue here at people park complex can be long especially during office lunch hours but dies down when it is after working hours. standard remains the same as per the first time I had. continue reading

My folks takeaway koi for me and my brother all the way from chinatown since they went down there to collect some freebie that my dad won from the club that he joined. My mum was afraid that the ice would melt and dilute the drinks and i told her that she can order koi without ice! I think that's really a great idea of theirs so that the customers can still enjoy the non-diluted drinks Mine was the green bubble milk tea and my brother's the hazelnut milk tea. I love how healthy and refreshing my green bubble milk tea is. But the thing is i have a really sweet tooth yet i ordered 70% less sugar which i find a little not sweet enough. But i console myself that this is healthy! My brother love the hazelnut as he find that the milk tea goes very well with the rich taste of hazelnut. I tried his and i think my next koi visit would buying hazelnut milk tea of my own 100% sugar It isn't too overly sweet as i thought when i tried my brother's! Would recommend both the green bubble milk tea (healthy) and the hazelnut milk tea (tasty). continue reading

the chinatown koi is the first outlet that i was introduced to koi by my friend, ever since then i was addicted to koi and dont really like other brands of bubble tea. my favourite is the normal green milk tea and the pearls are always so chewy. i normally tried zero or 30% sugar level and i think both are equally nice. the down side is that koi is so popular now that there is always a long queue especially on weekends. continue reading

Tried this new creation - Yakult Green Tea from Koi. Indeed, Yakult goes very well with green tea. This new creation tastes quite good. Given that Yakult is good for digestion, I feel that this drink is quite healthy, especially if one choose not to add the pearls. However, I find that the drink is kinda costly. The large cup costs $4.30 (small cup is $2.90)! continue reading

This time I tried the ice cream milk tea, recommended to me by my friend;DLuckily there isn’t really a queue so we don’t have to wait long for our orders, got it in about 5 minutes.(:Before commenting on the taste, the service by one of the girl there isn’t really good as she was somewhat rude to some of us. continue reading
