I didn't know the waffle store at the north canteen is still in existence. It seemed to remain quite inconspicuous being located next to the drinks stall.I ordered the Heart-Shaped waffle - strawberry flavour ($1). This was my first time ordering waffles from this stall. It was quite crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Talk about yum! Strawberry jam was lathered on one side of the waffle and thankfully so because as I munched on the waffle, there was a somewhat oily texture.Still it proved to be quite nice and i would definitely return to this stall for future pancake cravings.  continue reading

had this waffles during my break. went to north canteen for a taste of this waffle with my friends. i like the chocolate fudge. it tastes like a chocolate ganache to me. its sweet and thick! the waffle is nice too! but the size very small. and it cost like ~$2. cant remember it exactly . but should be around there. it taste like a bread. so different from those normal waffles that are sold outside. i guess this is why it is called belgian chocolate. haha. the waffle is thick. the one i tasted is orignial flavour. the uncle say he got add yoghurt. but i didnt taste or smell any yoghurt in the waffle. i tasted the chocholate waffle too. it's slightly expensive then the original ones. but the taste is the same. so ya, buy the orignial ones! continue reading

As compared to Jollibean, the min jiang kueh here is average. I decided to try their red bean filling since I have always been having the usual peanut version. As I ordered for takeaway, the pancake was no longer crispy by the time I reached home. The jiang kueh was too thick in my point of view and it lacked the springiness. Also, the red bean filling was dry and it tasted not sweet enough. Not ever gonna get my pancake fix from here in future. continue reading
