It was an impromptu meetup when my pal/ex-course mate decided we should go out for lunch. We didnt realise that it was school holidays again until our favourite Food Court 6 is closed. As an alternative, we visited Food Court 4 (Koufu) knowing for sure that it would be opened. In fact when we were there, we were stunned upon seeing all the stalls were in operation. Ordered Chicken Cutlet Bento from the Japanese Cuisine with the bento comes in 5 different sections where shreds of pickled was filled in the middle portion. On the left, its breaded cutlet. Next, the coleslaw with salad dressing. And a acceptable portion of Japanese rice with smashed potato ball as the bottom. Miso soup are refillable (self service) in front of the stall.Cost: $4.00 continue reading

:bowl:First time trying this newly opened store in SP's koufu. I ordered the Japanese curry cutlet rice and the chawamushi. The portion was huge! They gave a whole cutlet which not many stores do nowadays. Not only that, the price was very reasonable ranging from $3.50-$5.0. The curry gravy was also very thick and aromatic and filled with lots of potatoes and carrot! The chawamushi had lots of 'liao' instead too! So worth buying! continue reading

First of all, the rice is nice, tasty and so the egg. One thing I don't like about their food is that their fried meat is very hard. I know that deep fried or shallow fried food may be dried a little bit but this one really makes my mouth hurt because it was so hardy. I am not really a fan of Japanese food, my opinion is that the soup is really bad, If you love Japanese food, the soup will be heavenly to you continue reading

Brought a set of the chicken katsu set for lunch. This chicken katsu consists of chicken cutlet, rice, salad, mini agar agar and a bowl of miso soup. Firstly, the chicken cutlet was cooked on the spot when ordered. It was well cooked, with a slight crispy texture. The chicken was well marinated and season, not too bland. The chicken cutlet comes with the teriyaki sauce. The sauce was a bit too salty but the sauce goes well with the chicken cutlet. As for the salad, it was cold and has a refreshing taste. The mayonnaise sauce was not watery. Next the mini agar agar was well cooked, has a soft and crunchy texture filled with pineapple cubes and nata de coco. Lastly, the miso soup was light and refreshing, the miso taste was sufficient, not very salty, also include japanese wakeme seaweed and the soup goes very well with the rice. Overall, a very good combination of different food in a set and is worth the price and also worth to try. continue reading
