Was surfing net that Chef Daniel had a good review, I bring my loved one to had dinner for his birthday... Reservations is a must even though this place can hold a huge number of patrons...Food was nicely turned out but nothing really great that stood out...Portions are not big, so you should really have a starter, main and dessert, the food there are pretty affordable... The grilled chicken was rather good, the portion was enough for me... The Grilled fillet for the main course was succulent and came lying on a thick bed of sauce, it was pretty good... The desert was chocolate cake and it was tasty as well...Quite disappointed that they've closed... continue reading

Had a refreshing pineapple juice. It wasn't real fruit between, it's just pineapple syrup juice. The waiter is nice enough to tell me that. I love the crispy and fragrant garlic bread. We even had a second serving! I ordered their signature pasta for my main. It's angel hair pasta in special sauce. It is pretty unique and Singapore style! The sauce somehow tasted like a mixture of curry crab and laksa. All in all, not too bad a fine dining! continue reading

My first time here and decided to give it a go to anything! We had shitake consomme. It's some kinda clear chinese soup with shitake and vegetables. I didn't really like it as it is pretty tasteless. Perhaps it is really healthy! I ordered T.A.O. for myself which simply meant mixed juices of Tomato, Apple and Orange. I feel healthy drinking it! My main dish i had gratinated prawns. The prawns are fresh and delicious but i find the rest of the items pretty weird. There is this long black chewy stuff in it which are tasteless and there's escargot too. Seriously they are not to my liking honestly. continue reading

Headed down to town during Christmas and decided to find a decent place with affordable price for our lunch! Surfed through the net, and decided on Chef Daniel's Kitchen! They have set lunches from $10.90++ and executive set lunches at $16.90++ which inclcudes a starter soup of the day, a main course of your choice and lastly desert of the day.The day i went was corn soup for the day! It's not very strong in buttery taste so i liked and there are bread to go along with it. I chose the 10.90 set lunch. This is the Prawn & Crab burger that is their home specialty! Indeed unique! Had not taste such a burger before. However, both me and my friends agreed that the meat patty is a little salty but there are real prawns inside! But not too bad~ Other 10.90 set lunch includes dory fish with spagetti, breaded chicken and many more, you can facebook chefdaniel's kitchen for a whole list of menu. The 10.90 portion is just nice for me, definitely makes one full! The last part was the dessert! The day i went was passion-fruit cake. Very unique too! Taste quite good as well, not as sweet yet appealing~Instead, another of my friend ordered the 16.90 set lunch of smoked duck breast. She said that it tastes normal and surprisingly, the portion is really small and we felt it's not worth it. continue reading

i did not know about this "famous" restaurant till my friends ask me to try and when she told me even need to make reservation beforehand, i was anticipating a lot about the food. i ordered some grill cod fish in dont know what sauce, the taste was just average. i felt the food was just average but the price jet up so high because of the fancy names which i felt was totally unnecessary.but nothing beats the lousy service, i understand there were a lot of customers but there was over 10 waitresses so i do not understand why i waited so long before we were served and even longer time for the food. continue reading
