Looking at Greenhouse's interior, you can easily know how the restaurant got its name.
Earlier this month, it has introduced its “Beef Night at Greenhouse” promotion every Wednesday night, which brings 11 beef items to its already impressive buffet spread. These won’t be hard to miss for as soon as you step into this spacious restaurant which has a high ceiling and a mixture of brown and cream coloured walls, you will immediately see the carving station in the centre.

The Wagyu Beef Tomahawk is really worth a try.
Right in the middle is a chef, who is more than willing to assist you in slicing the main beef items. For our recommendation, head straight for the Wagyu Beef Tomahawk. This beef is always selling like pancakes because of its flavours and juices concealed in every portion of the meat… especially in the fats! It has also retained that tender texture you will surely enjoy.

Other must-try items are Greenhouse's 36-Hour Braised Beef Shank and the Wagyu Beef Station.
But wait, make sure you don’t gobble the whole Tomahawk because there are many more to savour (Remember, there are 11 in total right?). Other highlights are the 36-hour Braised Beef Shank, Grade Five Black Angus Beef Wellington, and the first ala minute Wagyu Beef Station in Singapore. For the latter, you don’t need to make your own burgers. You can have the chef prepare it for you; all you have to do is pick the ingredients you want to put in. Then, they have a couple of sauces and dressings for you to enhance the flavour – mustard, ketchup, and other usual favourites.
As for the other two, these are specially prepared by the chefs to give you that flavour you’re looking for when eating beef. Can you just imagine the tedious process it takes them in braising a beef for 36 hours? That’s three freakin’ days! The beef wellington is no different for it’s tenderised well and served in bread to break the heavy meat taste.
By this time, we hope you still have space in your tummy for there are literally many more to come. Other notable mentions are the Beef Carpaccio, Spicy Tomato Beef Balls, Cottage Beef Pie, Chilled English Beef Roast, Beef Stew in Bordeaux Wine Sauce, Paprika Beef Stroganoff, and Oxtail Broth with Foie Gras Ravioli. For us, the standout was the latter just because it’s different from the rest—it has soup! A perfect dish for a rainy weather, it’s a comfort dish which still can still holds its own place in a fancy buffet restaurant. Added plus is the Foie Gras ravioli which adds more character to the dish.
That’s all folks—11 beef items. To be able to savour all these, make sure you eat small portions of each because you know why? There are many more sections to visit at Greenhouse.

For healthier options, here is the salad bar for the taking.
Like all other buffet restaurants, there is a seafood section where you can sample fresh oysters, prawns, mussels, and more. After you try the beef promotion, you can eat something lighter and have a go at the seafood. For healthier options, there’s the salad bar where you can mix and match your own veggies and dressings. There’s also the Japanese section with your usual favourites of sushi and sashimi. The restaurant has a wide variety of sushi so you would have a good time each of the flavours.

To cap off the meal, desserts!
Oh yeah, we can’t end this without mentioning the desserts. Though the choices are not as extensive as other restaurants, it’s still worth a space in your stomach especially the Lemon Sorbet. Specially recommended by the hotel’s e-Commerce executive, this is the perfect end to a satisfying meal at Greenhouse. It clears your palate from everything you have eaten. Since you’re refreshed, it also gives you the feeling that you can go back to the buffet for a whole round of meal again. When you do, make sure you go back to the beef items again for these will be available until 26 May only!
