European Table Promotes Tasty Polish Meat

Meat lovers in Singapore, listen up! You now have more opportunities to taste fine European cuts of meat. The European Table—Tradition, Modernity, Quality is a program which aims to promote European fresh, chilled, or frozen meat and its derivatives. These include fresh, chilled or frozen beef, pork, and other meat products which are produced in compliance with EU and domestic trade standards.

In the most recent Asia Pacific Food Expo 2011, which took place from 17 to 21st of November, Singaporeans got a taste of their fresh meats and cold cuts of the highest quality. These included fresh, chilled, and frozen beef, veal, pork, as well as products which contain those ingredients. Its participating partner, The Association of Polish Butchers and Producers of Processed Meats of the Republic of Poland and Embassy of the Republic of Poland, also showcased some of their best and most popular products. They hope to make these available in the Singapore market by 2012. In a press conference, Polish Ambassador Waldemar Dubaniowski, said that they hope to promote the Polish meat and the European Table in Singapore. “This is the 2nd time that we are hosting a big event like this which will showcase fine Polish meat.” One good thing he also noted about their products is that it’s quite affordable yet it still retains the freshness and quality of the meat.

Poland has been producing meat for 750 years, and Zbigniew Nowak, Country Council President of the Polish Association of Butchers and Charcuterie, believe that this has given them the expertise to come up with healthy and tasty products. Now, they also use modern technology to preserve its traditional taste, smell, and look. It is their main goal to make these meat products available to the Singapore food markets, groceries. Their aim is also to sell it a very reasonable price to make it competitive in the meat industry. With this, the Singapore market can have more choices on the meats that they can buy!
