For those who don’t know what Josper Grill is—it’s not a name of a person. It’s actually a unique grill from Spain which uses slow-burning ‘white’ charcoal to cook the food more precisely and retain their natural flavours. It also has that additional smoky flavour which we all enjoy.
Luckily for those who just love this type of cooking, Brasserie Wolf is serving up new dishes which are cooked using this very special Josper Grill they acquired last year. And now, Chef de Cuisine Claudio Sandri is proud to introduce his new creations to their updated menu!
For a warm start to your meal, have the Charcoal Grilled Tomato Soup ($17) which is made with Buffalo mozzarella crisps and basil oil. Served really warm, the one thing that makes this special is its smoky flavour that just plays on your palate.
Follow it up with a healthier option of Portobello Mushroom Salad ($18). Grilled to perfection, the mushroom is very tender and retains that earthy scent and flavour. It is made even richer with that big slab of goat cheese sitting on top. But don’t worry, it’s made healthy with fresh veggies that accompany this dish.
For your guilty pleasure, they have the Josper Grill Rougie Foie Gras in Griottine Cherry Sauce ($26) and the USDA Choice Rib Eye served with bone marrow, Bordelaise sauce, and mashed potato. No words are really needed to delectable these dishes are, so we will leave it up to you to order…and savour!
The Josper Grill dishes aren’t the only thing you can look forward to when you visit Brasserie Wolf. Chef Claudio has also added seasonal dishes which are also worth mentioning. Some of these are the Mussels a la Mouclade D’aunis ($29), and Octopus Salad with baby spinach, grapefruit, and honey-mustard dressing ($18). But fret not for classic favourites such as the Traditional French Onion Soup ($17) and the Argentinean Beef Steak Tartare ($27) still make an appearance in the new menu.
Those who have visited Brasserie Wolf know that this French bistro also has an al fresco bar. If you want to chill on a Friday, you can head here and take a sip of their new list of inventive luscious cocktails concocted by their bartenders—the Red Velvet ($20) which is a mixture of Russian vodka, raspberry puree, cranberry, cherry brandy, and starfruit. Or, you can have their Amber Bowl ($18) with rum, apple juice, vanilla syrup, and orange bitter.
With all the additions to Brasserie Wolf’s cocktails and restaurant menu, it’s worth taking a trip there to sample these new dishes and drinks!
