Long John Silver's newest addition in its menu--the Silver's Fish Supreme
There’s something fishy going on at Long John Silver’s… and by fishy, we mean a fish burger!
After hoping and praying for a long time, fans of this quick-service seafood restaurant would be glad to know that they have finally introduced Silver's Fish Supreme in their menu. “Although there are many fish burgers in the market, our customers are telling us via Facebook as well as in-store customer survey that they would really like a burger on the menu,” said Kelvin Tan, Chief Marketing Officer of Long John Silver’s.
To create this burger for the youth, this fast food restaurant had to seek the help of their target customers. As such, they collaborated with Nanyang Polytechnic‘s School of Chemical and Life Sciences.
Through market research, product development, and initial surveys, their students found out they wanted. From then on, they enlisted the help of Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s School of Film and Media Studies to come up with an edgy marketing campaign which would grab the young ones’ attention.
To make it a fun launch for everyone, Long John Silver’s also created a Facebook game where players can gobble up “energy bites” while evading ghostly catchers in the maze. The game will run on their Facebook page until the 23rd of December 2012. Each day, the top 12 scorers will win themselves a Fish Supreme Burger. The next 50 highest players will also get a free regular size Coke.
The Silver's Fish Supreme burger is now available at all Long John Silver’s outlets for $4.95 (ala carte) and $5.95 (combo).
