The Austrian Wine Festival is Back in Singapore

From 17 February to 17 March 2012, Singapore will once again get the chance to savour the quality, uniqueness, and versatility of Austrian wines in The Austrian Wine Festival. Back for the third time running, the 2012 edition proves to be a bigger one with a variety of 20 wines from eight participating wineries in Austria. For the first time, wine makers from selected Austrian wineries such as Johanneshof Reinisch, Markowitsch, and Tement will also visit Singapore for the Winemakers’ Dinner, which will be hosted by the participating restaurants.

Another big event which wine enthusiasts should watch out for is the opening event dubbed, “The Balthazar Night at Brasserie Wolf”. For one night only, magnificent 12-litre Balthazar bottles will be flown directly from wineries and will be the highlight of this event. Also making an appearance is 1-Michelin Chef Christian Winkler from Restaurant Schindlhaus in Austria who will be whipping up his signature dishes at the opening event and the winemaker’s dinner at Les Amis.
