There are actually many dessert places that offer a variety of desserts and Gelare is certainly one of them.

After a hearty meal in the north, you are more than welcomed to patronize this delightful stall that consists of sweet treats and their Tuesday specialty the one for one waffles promotion.

We went one day at 9pm to purchase the specialty served with 2 scoops of ice cream each with maple syrup...

For me i tried out the rum and raisin ice cream if i can remember correctly and the very usual standard chocolate... served with a bit of maple syrup...

We got a seat at a very cozy corner and we had a chill pill to relax and dine during midweek..

Gelare has been my favourite joint for ice cream waffle after i tried it with my friends when we pass by there during our outing at Vivocity. I was pleasantly surprise that it has opened an outlet at Causeway Point which i have not been for quite a long time. There was an introductory promotion of 2 new waffle creations(shown in the picture below) when i pass by it last wednesday. picture taken from Gelare facebook page for everyones easy reference

Since that day was raining and i was too cold to crave for ice cream, i decided to try the banana waffle as i am not a huge fan of cinammon that the apple waffle consist of.I had imagine a crispy hot waffle sandwich with sweet ripe bananas and top with delicious honey from the look of their picture in the promotion flyer. However, i was rather dissappointed that the waffle came quite long after i ordered despite me being the only one in the cafe, and that the waffle was rather cold and soggy already from the syrup drizzled. I also realised that the waffle was only half portion, so i felt that the introductory prize not as promotional as i thought.

Nevertheless, the waffle was still fragrant and tasty. The syrup they used has a maple taste despite the waitress telling me it was honey and do complement the whole dish quite well.

Overall, i still prefer their waffle with ice cream though i don't regret having this new product as it was still a nice try.

If you feel too guilty having both the waffle and ice cream, why not opt for a single scoop which seizes the guilt by half atleast. Gelare is not only famous for their delicious crispy yet soft waffles, they are famous for their ice cream too! They have a wide array of flavors to choose from and one can never go wrong with chocolate! This ice cream tastes almost identical to the ones that Mac's used to have when I was still a kid. The ice cream creates a melt-in-the-mouth feel. It is not overly sweet nor is it too "diluted". The chocolate used is of high quality and it would be able to satisfy any chocoholic's addiction. Pure goodness in a scoop for as low at $3.50

I love to eat at Gelare for dessert, especially on tuesdays where they have the fifty percent promotion thing. It is super value for money on tuesdays. This is their waffle with two scoops of ice cream. Really delicious! The waffle is crisp and warm and the slightly melted ice cream tastes heavenly when eaten 5together with the warm waffle.
