Tuesdays are always the best days to visit Gelare and have a nice waffle ice cream
at half priced!
I will choose to have 2 scoops of icecream because I think 1 isn't enough for the whole waffle
It's always Cookie and cream + wild strawberry for me !
Their waffles are one of the best tasting ones , cripsy and sweet when added maple syrup
You can have an option between maple and chocolate syrup.
Fresh cream are optional tooThis is for the set meal option c

one of the best waffles i have tasted. waffle is crunchy on the outside, spongy in the inside. especially love the one with chocolate chips in it. you may opt for them to remove the whipped cream for a healthier option. I normally choose a rich dark chocolate ice cream which is less sweet to go with my waffles. favourite dessert place. go on tuesdays for HALF PRICE!

Return visit to Gelare was not disappointing at all.

It cost about $25 for the three items, after a discount of 10% because we used DBS Debit Card. This 10% discount applies for DBS and POSB debit and credit cards. It was pretty affordable.

It was on a Saturday night when we dined there. There was surprisingly few people, thinking that it might be packed because it's a weekend. Since there wasn't many people, we decided to have dessert there.

The service was prompt and fast, the crew members are friendly, and since there wasn't a crowd, the environment was really pleasant because there's no need to squeeze in the small area of space where the tables are so near to each other. We ordered Banana Split and 2 Passion Fruit Float.
There's 3 scoops of ice cream for Banana Split, and we chose Jamaican Chocolate, Vanilla Bean and Banana Walnut.
Jamaican Chocolate is not as chocolate-y as Chocolate Overload (another chocolate ice cream selection) and it is not as sweet as well.
Vanilla Bean, apparently it's a fancier name for vanilla ice cream after we've tasted it, isn't really that special but you can really see the black spots (the vanilla) in the ice cream it self. So it proves that they don't just use vanilla extract or essence for the ice cream but really vanilla.
Banana Walnut, it's pretty special and the taste was definitely quite unique. But it feels like there's too much of banana in this particular dessert because, after all, it's a Banana Split. Unless you're a banana-fan, don't match Banana Split with Banana Walnut! tongue

As for Passion Fruit Float, it's a little too gassy and compared to the last time we had. And the glass has been changed to a smaller glass, so, as compared to before, is no longer as worth.

Overall, still quite satisfied with the price, environment, service and food! lol

Was shopping around Causeway Point with my family and had the sudden craving for something chilling. Coincidentally, we walked pass Gelare and decided to have desserts there.

The new environment is rather cramp because of the limited amout of space that they have. Still, their furnitures are well furnished, stylish and comfortable. It is definitely relaxing to enjoy desserts there with your loved ones.

The price is acceptable as well. It cost $19.35 for 2 scoop ice-cream with waffle and passion fruit float. Passion fruit was rather unique for me as I've never stumbled upon such a drink before. We paid using POSB Mastercard, so there is a 10% discount. The service was prompt, and the waiter is friendly when attending to our queries and needs. The cashier at the counter inform us of the best offer as well. That was how we know of the discount for POSB Mastercard users.

Overall satisfaction was definitely satisfying! lol

Gelare certainly serves amazing waffles! Warm fluffy waffles with yummy finger licking ice cream to go with it. Topped up with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. One has not lived until one has tried these waffles. This is definitely my best find yet!

This place is always packed; especially on half-price-waffle-tuesdays and on weekends! However, all good things come with a price.

Their waffles are made to order hence they always served warm. This does cause the ice cream to melt faster then usual due to the temperature. The chocolate overload ice cream is extreamly creamy and very rich - does justice to its name! I also love the macadamia ice cream which contains actual macadamia bits!

If you need to impress a date, this is the place to be!
