roast duck and pork rice 2013-01-24 appleteasg (1500 Review(s))
My mother came back from marketing and she took away roasted duck and roasted pork rice for me and my sister. One thing I like about their roasted duck is that it does not have any bones, so it was easy to eat. The roasted pork was good, the skin was crispy and somehow it tasted salter than the meat itself. The meat is very tender and juicy, it was also not too fatty as well. one thing I dun like is they did not add enough gravy for the rice, next time must take note to ask for more gravy.
I could not decide what to eat at Limbang the food court. After much pondering, I decided to settle for the duck rices something which I have not eaten for a long time. The duck rice was quite reasonably priced, like normal roast duck rice $3.50. The store keepers were very efficient, one chopped the duck very quite while the other prepared the rice and the gravy. Once the one cutting the duck placed the duck onto the rice. The other guy immediately wrapped the packet up. Very efficient, I got my food in no time. The duck rice was pretty good. I like most is their gravy. It was pretty tasty, most importantly not too oily. The duck was very tender. I like their skin, a little crispy and not too fatty. Their sambal is specially packed in little containers. It was not too spicy as well. Goes absolutely well with the duck.
Happen to pass by this stall when I visit my grand mother who stay in Choa Chu Kang and was really impresse by the standard of their pork meat selling here. It is very tender and juicy, and the meat is totally not that dry at all. The plain rice is also quite fragrant and goes very well with the pork meat. The price is also quite reasonable and the staffs here are also very friendly as well.

My mother took away the char siew and roast duck rice from the limbang food court for my sister and i. she said that the new stall people were really effective and they clear the crowd really fast. Food wise, I found it so so only. I felt that their char siew could be better, it was sweet but not too sweet. it only it was much more glazed. The meat was a little tough as well. the roasted duck was a little oily too. not very satisfying.
i noticed that there was a change of ownership of this roasted duck rice stall. I decided to give them a try. The last time I ordered from them, the portion was miserable. This owners is really much better. I ordered their roasted duck with char siew. The portion of the rice was indeed more, however I would prefer that their char siew would be more roasted and charred. The duck was not too oily and there was not much fats in between the meat and the skin. I like this new duck rice!
