At the AMK Hub Shopping Mall, there is takeaway outlet which sells various paus and dim sum.Its signature pau is the pan fried paus which comes in 3 different flavours. It is a popular snack in various China states like Shanghai, Su Zhou and Jiang Nan. The pau is pan-fried with Olive Oil, which is a healthier choice than the traditional way. The pau is handmade. Crisp on the outside yet soft upon every bite. Each piece costs $1.30. Every order of 6 pieces, one will get one piece additional piece free. The paus are pan fried upon order. It is then packed into a white box.Smells so nice and hot.Signature Seafood Vege Pan Fried BunIt is filled with prawn, fish and cabbage. The seafood paste is not a lot inside the bun. Mostly vegetables. I like the tasty vegetables.Signature Pork Pan Fried BunIt is filled with pork and water chestnut. It tastes a bit fatty but the crunchy with the water chestnut.Signature Chicken Pan Fried BunIt is filled with chicken and mushrooms. The chicken is minced too finely here, but I still bite into the bits of mushrooms.Overall quite tasty and filling. I could not finish half of it. continue reading

I often pass by this stall and saw people queue for their onions bun, but I'm not really interested. I was tempted by their crystal dumpling with prawn and chives. It look so big and juicy so decided to give it a try I had 2 siew mai with prawn and 1 crystal dumpling for $3.70. Siew mai was just normal, but I quite like their crystal dumpling. Prawn inside was very sweet and fresh, and there's still some broth inside, very tasty. Crystal dumpling skin was just nice, not too thick. However i find that their price is a bit too expensive. continue reading

Tot it was a new outlet in AMK Hub, but itz not.The pau there look very tempting. So decided to try it.Bought their Signature Pork Bun. $1.30 each.Brought it home, and try it.The skin is abit like not cook, maybe they should steam longer. It take abit of time to chew on the skin.Come the meat. Taste abit weird. Got that meat taste that I can't really descried. Taste was slightly tasteless. But seem that they added some vingar in it.Will want to try their custor bun. continue reading

I was attracted by these attractive buns and excitedly ordered some to try but ended up feeling really disappointed. I ordered quite a few like Crystal Dumpling, Siew Mai, Signature Pork Bun, Chicken & Mushroom Bun, Onion Pan Cake etc. Some of these tasted quite strange. The combination seemed to be a bit odd as well. It tasted a bit stale too. These are pricey snacks with disappointing taste. I doubt i will try again. continue reading

I was attracted by the variety of snacks when i was there last week. I ordered quite a few: Signature Pork Bun ($1.30), Crystal Dumpling ($1.00), Onion Pancake ($1.20) and Pan Seared & Treasures ($1.50). I tried all but i did not like any of them. I tried some of these in Taiwan but the taste of these snacks did not even come close to what i had tasted then. The most disappointing got to be the Pan Seared & Treasures as it tasted a little stale and i left it unfinished. This is going to be the only one time. continue reading
