When I first saw the queue, and maybe I was attracted by the wooden hut like outlook , I joined the queue. There was a little "lobby"-like waiting area and it was warm. So we went out after getting the number. After 15mins, we went back. Finally the number was called. We were hastily seated and shoved the menus. Okay, we thought, this was casual dining. The ambience is not too bad actually, a little dimmed down, but the waiters were talking loudly and there was a lot of clunking from the plates.

The food was so so - I mean it's casual right? I mean I am comparing what I ordered vs food court's. Okay, the variety is more (don, bento, etc), but the food? Not sure if the quality is there.

It was late, so we thought we should be the last group and hence, the crowd and din should thin out. Well, the crowd yes, but not the noisy. The waiter kept "rushing" to clear the plates, almost in a demanding manner (before I can finish my food). I don't know what's the hurry, as there is no additional incoming consumers and it's still some time to closing hours.

Finally, it was time to pay. Patiently I waited behind a short queue (again). I saw the cashier swiping the credit card in an almost furious manner, apparently frustrated with the machine. I asked what happened, but she refused to answer, choosing to stare angrily behind her small counter for the signal for another swipe. The customer in front was helpless too, but didn't offer any help. I chose to go to the washroom in the meantime. When I came back, she was still trying to swipe.

Common sense, lady. Hence, I suggested for her to collect cash for customers who have them.

I paid mine in cash and left quickly.

Notice I didn't comment too much on the quality of food. The name of the restaurant did say it all - casual. Maybe the food was authentic or whatever, but I was busy filtering out the noise and defending our plates with food from the waiters. The only part I like was - we did find our ways to enjoy - chatting amidst all the cluttering. Just that you need to be louder.

The peace is restored when we step out. it's a relief.
