And a Japanese one some more

Well, its no surprise when Singapore is now bombarded with a lot of new Japanese franchises of eateries, and CoCo Ichibanya has taken a lot of attention with queues and tables in majority filled even during weekday dinners.

I wasn't enticed myself as I have a champion of my own in curry rice but my friend invited me for dinner here.

Why I wasn't enticed with it as first was because the sample dishes looked generally the same from any other kare raisu restos around - definitely you would be seeing pork chops and chicken breast cutlets around for sure.

I ordered the uniquely named clam in tomato sauce curry $13.90++ and the most interesting part, different than other places would be how you concote your own curry sauce. Choosing the curry base, spiciness, broth, and the rice to pick at a standard portion, smaller (which they deduct the price!
) or add more rice, and should you want vegetarian or meat.

Surrprisingly, I would have to give it a thumbs up and
of rice please! The rice should be from Japan - or the texture that is only known for that expensive gohan by tasting every bead of rice grain! But again, the curry, which I ordered spicy, wasn't spicy at all. As expected of any Singaporean stall.
But you could taste the 'seafoodness' of the clam and the tomato paste is just balanced enough with curry.

The only minus point was service was a tad slow, by asking water refill that took too long in this weekday night.

Price point... there's somewhere cheaper and the portion is much more fulfilling. Sorry guys, this is cookeeatmonster talking after all!
