The name 'Tian Tian' has long been synonymous with chicken rice and I was finally able to drop by Maxwell Food Centre to try this super famous stall's signature dish.As usual, the lunchtime queue was crazy. As usual, the lunchtime queue was crazy. I waited in line for nearly 30 minutes and ordered the chicken drumstick (less than $5). Verdict? I've definitely had better. Firstly, the chicken was a tad too soft for my liking. Secondly, the gravy poured over the rice was a bit too salty. Also, the rice was not what I was used to. I do admit the soup and the chilli's great, but really, Tian Tian can't match up to my favourite chicken rice stall of all time, Hainanese Delicacy at Far East Plaza. And so, the search for a worthy contender continues.
