For pictures and full review: http://travelshootandshare.blogspot.sg/2013/04/gyu-kaku-japanese-beef-in-singapore.htmlDined at the UE square outlet on a Thursday night. The place was about 3/4 filled during the 7pm hour. Service was excellent as the staff volunteered to cook our food for us although we kindly declined. They also checked-in on us once in awhile to see if we were happy with the food. A+ for their service standards! We ordered for 2 to share (1 guy + 1 girl) :1) Ito-wagyu beef, 300g, $128 2) Wagyu Nakaochi, small plate, $20.903) Wagyu Karubi, small plate, $25.90 4) Bacon and sausage appetizer5) Freshly brewed Asahi beerAll prices are before taxesPictures can be found at: http://travelshootandshare.blogspot.sg/2013/04/gyu-kaku-japanese-beef-in-singapore.html continue reading

For the full review with pictures, please click on http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.com/2011/10/gyu-kaku-japanese-bbq-restaurant-ue.htmlGyu-Kaku is one of 2 main Japanese BBQ chains here (the other being Aburiya)We had:1) Horenso Salad ($9.90) - must-try here, a Japanese styled spinach salad topped with crisp garlic slices, bacon dressed in savoury creamy sesame2) Assorted Bacon & Sausage ($15.90) - a diner favourite, especially the pepper-crusted bacon3) Yakionigiri ($6.90) - plain rice cakes to supplement the meat-heavy meal. This was quite good lightly toasted on the grill4) Chicken, seasoned in Tare ($10.90) - juicy and good flavour5) Karubi, seasoned simply in Tare ($20.90 for large) - no need for wagyu beef here, coz the normal cuts are super marbled anyway, these were tender, fairly fatty and moist continue reading

Tried Gyu a few times and I really liked their quality of food and service. The spicy miso pork belly and pork collar went really well with the lettuce wrap. The seafood selection were very fresh as well. If you are a beef lover, they have a very wide selection of beef to choose from. Besides the food, their service is excellent. They will change the grill and top up the charcoal frequently. The service crew is always ready to for your orders and enquiries. First class service, definitely. continue reading
