Hello everyone! As much as I love ice cream, I think this would be my last ice cream post cos i made a vow to myself to not have ice cream for the next one month(let's see if i can keep that.lol) Went over to the cousin's place last week and we decided to head to tiong bahru plaza for some dessert and found baskin robbins!!!Saw that they had red velvet and we went cray cray.To be honest, I only became a fan of red velvet very very recently when my grandaunt came over with the red velvet cupcakes that she made...the texture, the sweetness level....everything about it was too good!Ok anyhoos, red velvet lovers should try the ice cream!I loved it!We had it with a scoop of cookies and cream...and I felt fat as usual after that.P/S: Dont blame me if you feel diabetic after that.Cos i did.hehe. continue reading

I have always been a fan of Baskin Robbins ever since I tried it a few yrs ago when I was overseas. They have a variety of flavors and the price is somewhat reasonable. The staff at the tiong bahru outlet was very friendly and patient as I could not decide what were the flavors I wanted and she let me try a few flavors before I made my decision. I ordered the red velvet and cookies 'n' cream. I have to say that it was definitely a very good combination. The red velvet ice cream has a different taste from the red velvet cake. It is not too heavy and it tastes very good. The cookies 'n' cream was sweet and the mixture of both the red velvet and the cookies 'n' cream made a very good combination. I highly recommend you to try the red velvet flavor. continue reading

We were attracted to this specialty ice cream shop by the queue and on closer look we discovered that there is 31% off all handpacked to-go ice cream on the 31st day of the month. The staff was unfazed by the crew and cheerfully handed out teaspoonfuls of different flavours of ice cream to potential customers to try, without pressurizing them to buy. After the discount, a pint costs only $9.30 while a quart costs just $16.55 - cheaper than American brands of ice cream on sale in the supermarkets. We caved in to temptation and bought a pint to share. The staff obligingly let us mix two flavours in our pint sized tub. We picked the strawberry cheesecake and lunar cheesecake flavours. Strawberry cheesecake was not bad but I prefer the version at Cold Stone Creamery. However the lunar cheesecake was excellent - lusciously smooth texture and rich creamy flavour of cheese, with a refreshing tang and crunchy cubes of pretzel. Bliss in every mouthful! Two of us happily polished off our pint, re-joined the Q and each bought another pint for takeaway. continue reading
