Found this new outlet and seem popular from the waiting time. The environment is modern layout with semi round sofa and normal style. The layout is nice. Ordered my favourite Kaisen Kaminabe with spicy MIso soup. And popular Dai Dai roll for this summer. Possibly need some time heat up as awaiting time about 10mins on TOP of heating element. This spicy soup was first try so far. Look great in photo. The toppling include pranws, two Japan crabs legs, tofu , scallops , salmon fish, mushrooms 🍄 and vegetables. The taste was smooth with natural ingredients and not for spicy 🌶 lover. But I like it. Dai Dai roll look nice too when served. The Salmon is fresh slice covering the sushi 🍣. One mouth for a piece. It is marvellous and filling. Recommended for sushi lover. Not to be miss. continue reading

The Japanese restaurant was newly opened, taking over the space formerly occupied by Popular bookshop. There was quite a list of items on the menu but there was no kid's meal for the little one. The wet tissue on the table was chargeable. Order was taken through ipad on the table. One had to walk to the cashier to make payment. Green tea was chargeable at $1.20++ and refillable, although it was a tab difficult to get the staff to refill during the peak dinner hour.Truffle Chasyu & Hijiki Soba ($12.80++)Chasyu & Hijiki seaweed salad with cold soba & truffle sesame sauceSmelt strongly of truffle oil when served. The sauce was a tab watery. The noodle was cold and refreshing. The dish was served with 3 pieces of chashu (braised pork belly).Tara & Salmon Nabe ($14.80++)Japanese Cod Fish & Salmon Hot PotThe hotpot did not come with rice. The pot was way too small and the soup got overflowed easily when cooking over the hot stove. There was choice between miso, shoyu, and spicy miso. Selected miso which tasted not bad.Shirasu & Kani Tappuri Kaiso Salad ($12.80++)Steamed Baby Sardine, Crab Flake, Japanese Seaweed, Onsen Tamago & Fresh VegetablesServed with 2 choices of dressing which I selected Sushi Tei and sesame dressing. The sushi tei dressing was mustard in color and tasted slightly spicy. The salad itself was quite refreshing.Truffle Kani Roll ($12.80++)Fried Crabmeat & Shiitake Sushi Roll with Tanuki & Truffle OilSmelt nice of the truffle oil. The combination was not bad with crunchy crispy crust but felt a tab too oil after a few more mouthfuls. continue reading
