Truffles are a known luxury staple in finishing off dishes. While they are rare, the white ones are even rarer. Found only in one part of Italy, the Alba White Truffle is sought after by chefs the world over.
This October, White Truffle season returns and local restaurants are rushing to acquire this coveted gem. Here are some truffle-themed menus and promotions coming your way. Make those reservations to enjoy these elevated dishes before they’re no longer available.
White Truffle Specials at Clifford & The Lighthouse
For the month of October 2014
Over at The Fullerton Hotel Group, restaurant and rooftop bar, The Lighthouse and brasserie Clifford will be presenting special White Truffle menus this month.
Similar to last year, they will be dishing out a full set of entrees and desserts that includes this exquisite ingredient, from White Truffles Risotto ($59) to White and Black Truffle Chocolate Baklava Ice Cream ($28), at Clifford. At The Lighthouse, diners can expect dishes such as Taglierini Al Tartufo ($58), which is a Truffle Taglierini and Totino Al Cioccolato ($28), a Chocolate Flan with Truffle Ice Cream, to be served.

Truffle Gourmet’s Autumn Seasonal Menu
First week of November till end December 2014, White Truffle dishes from $24 onwards
Truffle Gourmet is dishing out a full seasonal menu of entrees topped with the king of all truffles – The Alba White Truffle. Diners can look forward to the Tajarin all’ Uovo Burro e Salvia con Tartufo Bianco ($38), a handmade pasta dish from the Northmost Italian region of Piedmont topped with a warm egg and fragrant White Truffle shavings and the Gnocchi di Zucca al Burro e Tartufo Bianco ($40), a pumpkin gnocchi dish drenched in butter sauce and light shavings of white truffle.
Sweet-lovers are not excluded; some delectable offerings include the Zabaione con Gelato alla Vaniglia e Tartufo Bianco ($25), a warm Zabaglione cream dessert which melds with the cold vanilla ice cream served with it, layered with shaved white truffles. This dessert will end your hearty meal off with a sweet note.

10 Delectable Alba White Truffle Dishes at Gordon Grill
For the month of November 2014
Executive Chef Gan Swee Lai of Gordon Grill presents 10 dishes that include the unique and exquisite taste of the Alba White Truffle. This prized nugget is versatile, suitable for both sweet and savoury dishes.
Some dishes include the Australian Wagyu Beef Tartare topped with a smoked quail egg & white truffle aioli ($48) and a delicate Veloute of sunchoke, mushrooms and country bacon ($18), which are perfect for those who prefer subtler flavours.
End your meal on an aromatic sweet note with desserts such as Apple Tarte Tatin with white truffle ice cream ($16). If you’re craving for more white truffles, two gram servings are available at a seasonal price.
