Hearty Oktoberfest Indulgence at Ambush

Oktoberfest is the time of celebration with good company! One Saturday afternoon, we gathered a group of OpenRicers for an exclusive Oktoberfest lunch at Ambush @ Jem. Well-known for serving modern European cuisine, we definitely were not short of German specialties in line with the season! Sounds delicious? Then, let us take you on a gastronomic adventure which will give you a preview of what we had on that special day.

Sumptuous spread of Oktoberfest specialties at Ambush
How do sausages and fries sound to you? Our guests enjoyed the irresistible CurryWurst (top left) which was served with their unique curry-tomato sauce. Not forgetting the highlight of the meal, the succulent Pork Knuckles (top right) was so crisp to the bite and drenched with the flavoursome essence. Another Oktoberfest classic was the Scheinmedallion (bottom left) served on delightful creamy mushroom sauce that was similarly used in the Chicken Gordon Bleu (bottom right) dish accompanied with twirls of Spatzle also known as German pasta.

Other than indulging in Oktoberfest specials, we also savoured a spread of Ambush’s signature dishes such as the Ambush Paella (top left). It was the most appealing dish among the guests as the luscious tomato gravy added a tangy touch to the fresh seafood and sausages. Baked to golden-brown perfection, the Poulet Roti (bottom right) was another favourite with a crisp skin surface and juice trapped within the tender meat. We had pastas, too, like the Spaghetti Squid Ink Sauce Pasta (top right) filled with baby scallops and fish roe, as well as the mouth-watering Ambush Style Crispy Chicken Seaweed Aglio Olio (right center). Those hungry for more also got to enjoy the Char Grilled Lamb Saddle (bottom left).

Who can resist these tempting desserts to complete the meal with?
When all the desserts were served, Molten Chocolate Brownie (top left) and Chocolate Soufflé (bottom right) stole the hearts of our guests as the scoop of vanilla ice-cream never failed to go along with decadent, piping hot chocolate. Fans of Tiramisu (top right) indulged in fresh mascarpone cheese goodness topped with ladyfingers, too! For non-chocolate lovers, they tried the Apple Crisp (bottom left) filled with crunchy apple chunks drizzled with heavenly caramel syrup.
