Award-winning Chinese restaurant Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel – whose usual menu features Sichuan and Cantonese favourites, including dim sum on traditional trolleys for lunch – has doled out a new range of rejuvenating soups from Master Chef Chan Hwan Kee (曾繁基), that promises to bring warmth and nourishment to the tummy, as it soothes the soul.
From 25 May to 26 July 2015, you can enjoy six new soups cooked with quality Chinese herbs and ingredients. Two soup selections are on every week, and rotated weekly with another two:
Each of the delicious broths is brewed for three hours for the full extraction of the nutritional qualities of the ingredients. One soup that stands out to us is the Double Boiled Ginseng Chicken Soup –a classic on Chinese menus (we know) – as Min Jiang’s version is exceptionally full of ginseng flavour, combined with a delightful light texture. The soup has various health benefits such as that to strengthen one’s immune system.
