Dessert bowl is located on the 2nd floor of one of the shophouses near chomp chomp. Inside, you will find many miniature replications of food streets in hongkong. If you're early or very lucky you might get seats beside the window where there are big sofas and a nice view. Normally its very crowded on weekends but on weekday nights finding a seat wouldn't be much of a problem.i had their mango pomelo dessert which is mango puree topped with sago, pomelo and mango cubes. I wished they had given more pomelo because too much of mango puree was hard to down without the bitter pomelo bits complementing it. I brought my girlfriend to the dessert bowl so some delicious dessert after some heavy eating at chomp chomp. As we were pretty full, we share a bowl. Went to dessert bowl for some really good dessert after our dinner today at chomp chomp. Love the ambience, its dimly lit with comfortable sofa seats for everyone to chill and enjoy their dessert while catching up with friends. After dinner at the famous hawker centre, Chomp Chomp, me and my friends remembered about this famous and delicious dessert place called Yi Wan Tian Ping. As we walked to the bus stop we decided to go for dessert before heading home. We entered the second storey storehouse. They had two comfortable and large sofas at the corner but they were filled. We just finished our dinner and was thinking of going somewhere to hang out. We decided on dessert bowl, which was one of our old hunts!The ambiance of the place is cosy and warm- it is also always crowded on weekends and evenings!I ordered the red bean ice and added a scoop of ice cream on the top for additional $0.50!The red bean was really sweet, but the ice balanced out some of the sweetness. The desserts at dessert bowl are simply amazing! They are very generous with all their ingredients that makes it so worth the money. The decoration of the café is very cute, with plenty of cute signs. The dessert I ordered was very unique, it has strawberries and bubbletea pearls. A very refreshing dessert. Dessert Bowl is a quint little dessert shop hidden amongst pubs and bars along the stretch! Once you spot the glass door, the staircase will lead you up to the 2nd storey where you'll find seats and cute deco that furnishes the shop.I have always been a loyal fan of dessert bowl (frequent vistor!) for its great and relaxing ambience. This is a fantastic chill out spot for you and your friends if you don't wish to stray too far from the heartland. However, it seems that more and more people are thinking that way too; gone were the days where me and my friends could seat back and relax while chatting. Now, especially on weeknights, the shop is filled to the brim with ppl, and even long queues will start to form by 9.30pm onwards. The shop has turned froma nice chill out location in an instance to a noisy, crowded dessert place. The nice auntie has resigned and new teenagers has taken the place of the service staff. They're not rude but they certainly are curt. One waitress didn't even speak to acknowledge our orders!Well, enough of ranting, now its time for the food reviewsurian Mousse - $4.50My favorite is their durian mousse, which used to be really good until their standard dropped. I loved the generous topping of deliciously sweet durian flesh and the 'cream/mousse' that goes with it on the bottom. However, lately the mousse was not as consistent, and i even tasted large sugar grains in the mousse.Strawberry de creme - $3.50Anyway, i decided not to have the durian mousse this time round, and tried something new. I had the Strawberry de creme, which was Dessert bowl's version of creme brulee. It is essentially, cubes of strawberries (sour strawberries) served with some strawberry syrup on top a small serving of brunt cream. For the appearance, i would give it a 1.5/5. But for the taste, it was actually quite good! I loved the cream so much and especially the caramelised sugar that formed a layer on top of it! Overall, taste was pretty good, although for $3.50, i might want to think twice for next time.Snow pear with white fungusMy boyfriend had the snow pear with white fungus, and i can't really comment since i've only tasted a bit of it. However, I really hated the taste of the dessert cos it had a strong chinese herb which i don't know where it came from.Overall, pretty ok place, with pretty average desserts.…查看更多

dessert bowl is a very unique place. i love the deco, so cute and adorable.but the thing for sure is the dessert is fabulous! here are my recommendations that u must try when u go there:1. red bean milk custard- the milky taste is very strong, it is not sweet on its own- u must eat together with the sweet sweet red bean paste to really enjoy the sweetness- the portion is quite ok for the price that we are paying, so quite value for money2. durian mousse- the durian serving for rather generous- very smooth mousse goes really well with the fresh durian3. snow pear with white fungus- the pear is rather soft from being boiled- the white fungus is very crunchy- mixed the 2 together, u get a contrast in texture- a refreshing dessertthe place is filled with cute cute hong kong stars name and catchy sentences. quite a nice ambiance to chill out with from after a hearty meal at chomp chomp!…查看更多
