I bought 3 kinds of bak chang to share with hubby.Cantonese bak chang $3.20This is one of my fave from 东园. It has marinated pork cubes, mushroom, salted egg yolk and steamed mung beans. I find that the mung beans adds texture to the glutinous rice...gives it a unique taste.Black eye bean dumpling $2.30This is a vegetarian chang with lotsa black eye beans, mushroom & sweet chestnut. Despite not having any meat in it, it still tastes pretty good.Hae bee hiam dumpling $3.20I think the auntie gave me the wrong chang. I'm pretty sure that this is the Nonya chang with sweet minced pork fried with sweeten winter melon. There isn't any hae bee hiam taste at all...I'm not a fan of sweet dumplings. I only had two mouthful and gave the rest to hubby...not nice!
