Was looking for coffee at bugis area and chanced upon this quite crowded coffee place. Coffee is smooth and thick, not too sweet, overall i must say this is really good coffee, Service is good and efficient too, however i find it quite expensive, $2.20 for the upsized cup.

My mom gave me a free set meal voucher thus i had a set of ya kun toast for free! This branch have never ending flow of customers be it day or night. It was pretty late and the rest of the shops were closing already but this stall is still crowded! I love how their bread with kaya and butter tasted. Thin slice of crispy bread on the outside and sweet fillings of kaya and a slab of butter inside. The milk tea is very sweet before eating the toast. Ya Kun's tea with milk is very sweet as usual. Next time should ask for less sugar added as with a small cup of tea, alot sugar is added.The milk tea is not very smooth and tasty. And extra money is added if you want to change to Teh C which is a better quality of milk added to enhance the taste which I presumed.

The toasted kaya bread at ya kun is so-so only. Not crispy and toasted to the maximum. Very normal fare of toasted bread. Simple decent meal for quick bites for people looking for a light meal.Butter provided in the bread is alot which makes it very greasy. Topped with kaya which makes it even sweet and greasy.

Ordered with a coupon and this set consisting of kaya toast and milk tea cost only a buck !!! My first visit at the Bugis branch. It was crowded probably due to the fact that it was during lunch hours. Milk tea as usual was pretty sweet. Kaya toast with butter was quite nice. But the toast bread wasn't that cripsy. A little soft at the corners. Overall just average but given the price, it was considered not bad! Prefer the ya kun at Changi Airport T3 though.
