I wouldn't say that the small dishes are necessarily Taiwanese-style, but they are cooked on the spot. Hence, served hot.All their dishes are quite small, hence it's easy to accidentally over-order, however, they are all quite salty and tasty so there is no need to order too much. For a family of 4, we ordered 6 dishes and a soup, and that was overkill. Their chai po omelet is not bad and pairs with the porridge really well. Another dish that is decent is their salted egg and bitter-gourd as it's not overly salty, but still tasty.Salted fish and beansproutsThe dish is salty but the beansprouts are fresh and cooked just rightBe prepared to wait for your food though as this stall is really popular. As you can see from the picture below, I had trouble even taking pictures before the food was touched because we were all so hungry.

The FoodI ordered Preserved Sliced Vegetables with Pork, Salted Egg with Salted Fish and Minced Meat and Sambal Long Beans to go with the Sweet Potato Porridge. The Preserved Sliced Vegetables with Pork is delicious and the preserved vegetables are not too salty. The pork belly is stewed till it's soft and tender as the fats simply dissolve in my mouth. The Salted Egg with Salted Fish and Minced Meat is steamed till the meat is soft and the gravy is filled with the goodness and essence from the salted eggs and fish. The minced meat is fresh and therefore the gravy has a natural pork sweetness. As for the Sambal Long Beans, I find that the long beans can be a little softer but the sambal with the dried shrimp sure makes the dish very fragrant and tasty. What I like most is that the dishes are served hot as they only cook it when you order. The PriceSlightly over-priced at $20++ for the whole billOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!

Was running some errands around the Bukit Merah area, and just remembered the place that I often liked to go eat at ABC market! Walked around and saw gu zao ren which seemed tempting. so decided to try. They're known for having the free flow (after initial charge) porridge with tapioca in itThe king pork ribs was very tender and juicy. porridge must pair with the chilli. open up your appetite to feast.french bean was a little oily but flavourful for a vegetable. fried pork was addictive! "pway" (pair) with the porridge!the rest of it holds in the same high standard tastes.
