See pictures @ http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.sg/2016/04/garden-street-kway-chap-serangoon.htmlA bit of a hit-and-miss.1) The broth was robust but balanced; and flat rice sheets smooth and delicate;2) Chilli was wonderful - piquant and lively;3) Loved the firm beancurd, eggs, and peanuts - all nicely braised;4) Pork belly was luscious;5) Large intestines were the highlight. Squeaky clean, and wonderfully chewy.6) Didn't like: fried beancurd puff - too dense and lacking in a spongy fluffiness. And the heavy fishcake because it was dotted with spring onions and chilli nubbins 繼續閱讀

Although this stall is at the most corner of the Hawker Centre, but indeed, there are still long queues at 11am this morning. After getting breads and drinks, decided to join in the queue to takeaway some Kway Chap for lunch. The signboard is indeed very nicely done, and rather special as well. I guess thats one of the reason that attracted so many people to queue for its Kway Chap. Ordered a set for 2 person (Tau Kwa, Tau Pok & Intestines), including 2 bowls of Kway Chap, which costs $8.80, which is considered quite reasonable. Actually most of the dishes are preety normal, only wish to highlight its intestines and chilli sauce. The intestines are well prepared, soft and well flavoured. The chilli sauce is also quite unique, much better than most Kway Chap stalls. Worth a try if you're in the vicinity. 繼續閱讀

The FoodI ordered the Kway Chap set served with braised pork belly, tau pok, pig skin and big intestines. The stewing of the inner organ and meat stuff were very nicely done but the sauce not thick and strong enough to bring out the flavours of the stuffs. As for the Kway Teow, too soggy for me, overcooked too long. Chilli still ok and not overly spicy. The PriceReasonably priced at $3.50 for quite a big portion!!OverallI will not come back again as it fail to meet my expectations 繼續閱讀

I came for an early lunch on Saturday. The queue was still short at this famous kway chap stall. I decided to join and waited for 15 minutes to order and to get my food. I ordered the kway chap set for 1 pax. It came with a bowl of kueh and a plate of a mixture of different ingredients. My favourite has got to be the braised meat and the braised small intestine. Both tasted favourful and at the right softness. The kueh was rather soft served in the stewing sauce. It tasted good with chilli added. 繼續閱讀

Years ago, this is where my parents will bring us to eat kway chap in Blanco court. the lines will be long, and you will see the old man chopping his kway chap with his signature hunchback. The store is now being run by his son (I think). The kway chap is good. There isn't many of good kway chaps around now. And I especially love traditional ones.Come if you are looking for a traditional Sg hawker food, the kway is light and the broth flavorful. They still serve both the big and small intestines. 繼續閱讀
