Read about this stall on OpenRice, and gave it a shot.  As 1 reader said, there was indeed a queue on a weekend morning, but no fuss as the queue cleared steadily. Lor Mee was a popular choice this morning. But I was feeling adventurous, and ordered Bak Kut Mee.  Coincidentally, the customer in front of me ordered the same, and it turned out to be Bak Kut Teh, with dry noodles on the side.  I ordered the dry version (takeaway) and it was as follows:I had ordered the "big" version ($4), thinking that I might as well make my queuing worth. I was over-rewarded!   The serving was so huge, it took me more than 1 hr to devour the food completely!  There were 5 pork ribs in the noodles, and they were all very tender and marinated well. The noodles were a tad salty but this was easily accustomed to upon each bite. If this dish can include more condiments such as fishcake, beansprouts etc, it would certainly enhance its overall appeal. This enhancement can replace the increased amount of noodles tagged to the higher price.  Well, I guess with the current steady stream of customers, this need not be a priority for now.  I will visit this stall again, and order Laksa. Next time round, I'd keep my order to $3.  Total Cost: Bak Kut Mee - $4 繼續閱讀

Ye Lai Xiang is located at end of the row of Woodlands Centre Hawker Center and is selling more than just laksa.Ordered the bigger portion of Lor Mee only to realize that the standard was mediocre but still suitable as a stomach filler as a breakfast meal. The "Lor" (gravy) was lacking of the spice favour and was rather dilute, so as the braised egg, it was just a plain hard boil egg than a braised egg. Other than that, the noodles was rather ordinary with "Nor Hiong" added. Nothing special in particular and tasted similar to what can be bought over the shelf.Cost: $3 (Big) 繼續閱讀

The laksa I bought as Woodlands here was good. The store owner was really friendly too. She gave me a lot of small red chili padi generously when I asked for more of it. The laksa soup was really good. But it'd be better if there is less of the oil. The fish cake absorb the laksa soup which makes it really nice. I guess they soak it in for a good amount of time before serving. The "dao pok" also quite nice . Will eat again ~ 繼續閱讀
