This is another stall that moved from the closed Margaret Drive Hawker Centre to here. I recognised the old signboard right away. I used to be buying you tiao, butterfly buns, the sweet and the salted sesame buns from them too. Their business seemed to be a little quiet here unlike the good old days over at the Margaret Drive Hawker Centre.When i was there at about 3.30 pm, most of the items were about to be sold out. When i was there at about 3.30 pm, most of the items were about to be sold out. If i remember correctly, they used to operate till late evening over at other side. I decided to get the lonely spring roll, it was the only one left on the shelve.
My first bite was an disappointment. There was an unpleasant rancid taste lingered in my mouth. The filling was of turnips and bean sprouts wrapped in a soggy skin. I should have stick to butterfly buns or the sesame buns perhaps then i might not be disappointed.
I might be back to give it a second chance someday.
