This chicken rice outlet has my favourite hainanese chicken meat and chicken rice. The chicken meats are very tender and juicy. The chicken rice is not too oily and is fragrant and not soggy. Love their chilli sauce which is spicy and flavourful. Besides, I also enjoy the beansprouts which are very crunchy and fresh, moreover the portion is generous as well. The counter staffs are friendly and fast in service. Counter is clean and neat as well. For less than $15, is consider affordable.

The rice was moist but not too wet. It was quite flavourful to me (however my dining partner disagreed). I find that the colour of the grains of rice was too yellow and I am not sure if it is a bad thing or not (can't be seen in the pic.). The soup was very clear,not at all oily and very flavourful yet I did not felt like it was overloaded with M.S.G. The chicken breast fillet was tender and not tough. The chicken skin had not much fats on it. The soya sauce was a tad too salty for me. Service was efficient. Overall, this chicken rice is above average and I will go back for it again.

Chicken rice is one of the local delights here in Singapore and if you are looking for good, fragrant chicken rice look no further than WEE NAM KEE! The chicken rice here is oily enough and the fragrance of the warm rice is so comforting and inviting to the palate. The chicken is also really succulent and juicy and not forgetting the sauces. Like how the ginger and chilli sauce is separated and the chicken rice taste really good with the black sauce.

Wee Nam Kee's view angle is different as it oversees the condos and the main road as well as the little water playground outside which is probably ideal for parents who want to eat/chat and still be able to watch over their kids through the glass.Service : prompt delivery upon payment. Portion : This would be the first time I've eaten "cold style" roasted chicken. (usually only for "white" hainanese chicken) , it didn't totally work for me. I've eaten at the Novena branch before I recall the roasted chicken was warm/hot though... The rice was okay. Some parts of the chicken was really salty like eating salted fish but that could be a good thing. Wee Nam Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice is famed for its succulent steamed and roasted chicken rice. They have a store located at 275 Thomson Road are recently voted the best hawker at the AsiaOne People's Choice Awards 2010.Chicken Rice with Dumpling Set @ S$6.50The breast meat was a bit on the tough side, not the tender kind of thigh meat that I prefer and the rice was less fragrant that expected but the taste was decent.
