Had dinner at Kazokutei with my cousin. The service staff was slow and not that attentive. Waited quite a while before one of the staff came to give us a table. We also had to wait a while before we could place our order. But it might be because there were only 2 staff. I ordered wanko udon shokado wazen. The sushi was average to slightly below average. toppings of the sushi were not that fresh. Tempura was lovely! It was crunchy and not too oily. The udon was also wonderful. It was really chewy. Might be the best udon I ever had. There were 3 different topping on the udon- sweet beancurd(kinda sweet), spring onion(had a strong onion flavor, I ate without them) and fishcake. The omu rice inside is tomato rice. Overall quite nice.I would definitely come back for the udon and tempura the next time! 繼續閱讀

Famous of bowl of soup base, Kazokutei served delicious and high-quality of Handmade Japanese-style Noodles. Having set lunch promotion from Monday to Friday except public holidays or eve, each of them was only $9.90. Different combination for different day, everyday was a surprise. Healthy-cooking method, noodles brought out the natural taste in soup. Each stripe was precious springy, broth was in thicker version on the other hand. But unfortunately, Fried stuffs were too oily and greasy for me. Then sushi wise, the platter was just an average, too tasteless for my liking. Portion was satisfactory, we were pampered with a lot of food with least amount of money. 繼續閱讀

Pork Nabe Set.. the fried chicken taste bad, I think the garlic taste is too strong.. and it is not hot when it is served. I don't like the taste of the pork nabe too. The texture of the udon is quite good..but not fantastic because the soup of it is not nice. My friend order their mushroom tempura, and commented it is not bad. Overall, I didn't enjoy my lunch there, as the food is not nice. 繼續閱讀

Click http://www.dairycream.blogspot.sg/2013/04/kazokutei-handmade-udon-and-soba.html for full review and pictures.Fans of Japanese food must be familiar to this household brand that helms from Osaka. With over 200 outlets in Japan, Kazokutei is renowned for their handmade udon and healthy cooking methods.I tried the zaru udon, zaru soba and some sushi. The udon is toothsome and springy, possibly close to original version in Japan since flour is directly imported from Japan to make the noodles….Prices starts from $6.90 for original kokudashi udon and $9.90 for the soba version.I am happy to learn that Japanese-western food such as Omelette Rice and Curries, dons (rice) and nabe (hotpot) are also available on their menu. So this is a family-friendly restaurant place which can satisfy different cravings at one go. 繼續閱讀

Half way throught the food trail. This restaurant is well known in Japanese for its Udon. The menu. The sampling platter.Zaru UdonNoodles is cold and QQ. Refreshing having cold udon on a hot afternoon.Assorted sushiTaste average.Zaru SobaNot as cold as udon, but easier to eat. Would prefer fresh wasabi to go with it, not the bright green version. which tastes so strong. 繼續閱讀
