The sinful yet must try dish that one must try from a Malaysian Food Street especially when we get to see little of such cuisine from our local hawker centers and food courts. Being a weekend, queues were expected everywhere and seating was an issue with diners being pressurized by others who are standing beside the table, hoping to "chope" some seats. The typical looking "Wu Xiang" dish comes with cooling cucumber, century egg and preserved ginger slices while the rest are Lor bak, fried to brownish in color, consisting of Tau Gua, Fish Ball, Ngoh Hiong & Dumplings. The lor bak here is supposedly famous, being in the Malaysian food street. I seldom order this dish but we shared a platter among our family members when we dined here. A combination plate comes with ngoh hiong, tofu fish cake and other types of fried pieces. I liked the tofu pieces soft and crisp on the outside, which went very well with the sauce provided. Not the worth the calories - this is how I would describe the food from this stall. Given that most of the food are fried stuff and hence, kinda sinful / not diet-friendly, I am kinda disappointed that the food is not up to standard. With the exception of the ngoh hiang is quite delicious, the rest tastes only average. Hence, if the queue for this stall is long, I think you will not regret giving it a miss. …查看更多

I seldom eat lor bak but my mother went to order a set for us to try it. Luckily she chose the items that i like too. It is not very cheap but it is very very yummy!!! I love the tau gua the most as it was so crispy and the lor bak is also great too. The fish ball is very chewy too as well. I ordered the set Lor Bak which cost $8. It comes with 1 whole century egg with pickled pink ginger, fish ball, a pieces of fried tofu, yam roll and crispy fritters. It is served with a dark colour spicy sauce and pink starchy sauces. The lor bak is not like what I have eaten which is supposed to be strips of pork wrapped in beancurd skins. I tasted strips of yam, taste wise, it is not bad. Fish ball has the Q texture. For a real nice Lor Bak in Singapore, I would go to the Penang Restuarant in Tanjong Katong, see my older reviews.…查看更多
