Ordered Fish and chips and milk tea ice cream float and the portion was really a bit pathetic. The fish was really small and fires were a bit cold. While waiting for my relatives to arrive at the airport, I went to have some snacks at Xin Wang Hong Kong Café at T3. I ordered the Kaya Bun. The staff gave me a table tag and I wait for the kaya to be ready. The kaya bun was freshly baked, henece the outer skin was crispy. The inner part of the bread was soft but not as fluffy. The kaya spread and the butter slices given were little. The kaya tasted sweet with coconut aroma. Back here for dinner after cycling with some friends. The queue was pretty long when we reach about 7.30pm & due to our big group, we waited for close to an hour to get a table!Stew Beef noodle. noodle texture was just right & the beef is very tender. A quick dinner before picking up sis from the airport. I ordered the Spaghetti with Black Pepper Beef. Beef is nicely cooked, quite tender. Even though there's quite a bit of pepper and it's rather peppery, it's not too spicy. Xin Wang offers one of the nicer Custard Buns I've had. It was left to cool down for quite some time before I started eating. Once torn apart, the custard "lava" immediately flowed out! FoodI was so full of energy and decided to drove from one end of the west to the east side. The French Toast was one of its signature dish. Deep fried thick toast coated with egg and generous spread of peanut butter. Peanut butter was rather slimy and its look good when it overflows down the Toast was generally crispy outside and soft in the inside. Cost: $5.90.Fish & chips tastes average, fries tastes dry. Working at the airport can be spoilt of choices with so many different type of food around. Today I joined my colleagues for lunch at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Not many people know of this place as it is rather hidden from the public view. As my partner isn't someone who likes to squeeze with crowds and doesn't like to celebrate festivals, we decided to go somewhere quiet to have a drink. I ordered teh-o and my partner ordered coffee.For night snacks, I had the thick toast with butter and condense milk while my partner has the kaya and butter toast. Mine was extremely thick and as usual, I ask for additional condense milk. The butter was also too thick for my taste. I should have just gone for thick toast with milk that I ordered the previous time. My partner's snack was not really interesting. I would have preferred the ones from Yakun. It was late at night and we didn't know where to go....so we decided to head for the airport for coffee. I couldn't resist anything with condense milk sweetener! So I requested for the milk toast. They came so very very little milk. When the service crew saw my face, he asked if I wanted more milk and I said yes and requested he brings the toast back and help me pour more. Instead, he said that he will get me a dish and I can pour whatever amount I wanted. I poured everything I find the toast too thick so it takes abit of time for my toast to be soaked with milk. Honestly, the standard of food here in T3 compared to the rest of the outlets is seriously far from expectation. The food is terrible!!! We had black pepper chicken baked speghetti, the pasta is dry and chicken is too hard. For my dessert, i ordered this ice jelly with watermelon. Overpriced for ice and really not nice =( The watermelon is nice though, pearl is too hard and jelly had a kind of smell. Will not patronize there anymore!
