Rong Kee specialises in roasted meats, so I decided to try their char siew wanton noodles today. For $3, the amount of char siew given was generous. The meat was tender and well-caramelized, with a mix of fat within. The noodles were cooked till springy and the sauce flavoring was quite ok as well. Actually, I will rather they do not give any wanton and just focus on the char siew. The wantons were pitifully small and had almost no meat. Instead of adding a plus to the meal, it actually brings down the overall taste. Hmmm when I had my meal today, there was only this stall and another economic rice stall open in the whole coffeeshop. I believe that once again, it might be renovation time for the coffee shop and getting in of another round of tenants.Char siew and wanton noodles - $3查看更多

I've tried out the roasted pork belly from this stall before & it was crackling good. But today I decided to give their dumpling noodles & a new item, soya sauce chicken noodles a try. - Dumpling noodles ($3.50)4 dumplings were given, with a whole prawn each within a mound of minced meat - quite good. The noodles given were plenty & were rather springy, flavoring of the sauce was quite alright too. Just felt that the overall taste is a bit one-dimensional.- Soya sauce chicken noodles ($3)I took a piece of the soya sauce chicken from my friend. The meat was not very tender and the skin though well-glazed with soya sauce, the meat within had not much taste. I've had better soya sauce chicken elsewhere. So I think it's better to stick to their roasted stuff like char siew, roasted duck or roasted pork belly meat instead.查看更多
