From near or far,you can see many newspaper clippings of their famous Hainan kuehs as well as they sell many types of kuehs and it is only on closer look that you see their menu selling Hainan Laksa as well as Hainan Desserts.Since i had never eaten Hainan laksa before,i was game to give it a try and especially a bowl of laksa cost only $2.50 but surprisingly i don't taste the different from local laksa which consists of egg,fish cakes,tau pok and cockles and taste so so to me as i prefer the heavy version with nice laksa herbs and coconut milk.
