I tried the minced meat sauce noodles for the first time. On first look, it looks like it's going to disappoint - a fair amount of minced pork, cucumber strands and noodles, nothing else. However, it turned out to be surprisingly tasty - especially so with sufficient amount of vinegar in it! With this sauce, I don't need any other ingredients with my noodles. Maybe the stallholder intentionally kept it this way, to let his customers focus and enjoy the sheer taste of the sauce, complemented with every strand of noodle.I was enjoying every spoon of noodles chugged into my mouth, until the end. What I saw was shocking. A little pool of OIL!!! Man! But the strangest thing is the oil doesn't stick to the noodles, so I hadn't realised it until the end. Oh well, I'm going to assume most of the oil didn't stick to the noodles, so that's why it's at the bottom of the bowl instead of inside me. I'll just ask the stallholder to put less oil next time.
